Few hours have passed since Death's crucifixion, I stand in front of her just gazing at her corpse. There is no purpose on keeping feeling of hate for her, she is dead, but... What will I do with my life now? All this time, I've been doing everything I could in hopes of seeing my family once again, the light that has kept me sane has vanished. All that is left is a void inside of me, but, now there is no Death to haunt me. Does this mean I am free? It does not feel like I am.
I feel the comfort of a hand resting on my shoulder
-"It will be alright, with time, you'll learn to find happiness in life again. I'm sorry for your loss. You can life your life as you see fit now, Death will not be coming for you anymore." My guardian spoke.
-" My apologies, I had forgotten you were here, I must thank you for saving me just now. Is there anything I can do for..."
-" Your wounds! They are severe, we must get you somewhere safe!"
-" They will heal soon, you shouldn't worry about me."
-"Not soon enough, you're losing a lot of blood!"
-" It'll... be...fin-"
Everything turned black for awhile, I can feel the raindrops landing on my face, it suddenly stopped, now my body felt warm. Where am I? The room was barely visible the only light source being the moonlight and occasional lightning.
-" You're awake, I'm glad."
- "Did you also brought me here?"
-"Yes, you went unconscious after loosing most of your blood so I dragged you here and treated your wounds the best I could."
-"You keep saving me, I must be a nuisance to you."
A bright flash of lighting ignited the room with white light that revealed the room.
-" This place, it's where I left her, but where is she?"
We were in the basement of the house I've been staying with Raven, the ropes that she was tied with were broken but she was nowhere to be seen, I figured she would stay here.
-" There was a person here, I left her behind... I did some terrible things to her."
-" Why did you leave her behind? "
-"...After what I did she wouldn't want to be with me anymore. I tried to give her an apology and leave, but... I guess part of me didn't want to say goodbye."
-"Is it that you're feeling regret?"
-" Perhaps, I just wish I could probably apologize to her properly."
-" The might still be a chance to do so"
-"How?..."
-" Look at me in the eyes and tell me, what do you see?"
I walked closer to her, our faces almost connected. Her eyes were bright and glossy. Almost like... a pool of blood...
-" Raven!"
-" I never thought you'd recognize me like this. In this form"
-" I... no, I didn't recognize you. But, you look so... different. What happened to you?"
-" What you're used to seeing is the form I take to be here, in the earth realm, but what you're seeing now is how I look in my succubus form, my real form."
"...I see"
The room became silent as we both stared at each other for a moment, not knowing what to say, not knowing how to explain. Many questions arose but the answers were scarce, I'm relieved she's well but that doesn't change what happened before.
