Chapter 1

I came outside and saw her deep red Subaru parked in my drive.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked, as I hopped in.
She looked at her mirrors and pulled out of my drive way.
"Nothing. Dude, you are going to love what we're doing tonight."
"And what are we doing?" I asked, pleasantly surprised that she was so excited.
Julia had been my best friend for the longest time I could remember, and we always seemed to do the stupidest of things.
"It's a surprise!" She said in glee.
I sat back, not pushing any further. I snapped back into reality, grabbing onto her leather seats as she screamed, "Oh my God!"
Freaking out, I looked at her. Her red hair was frizzing a little bit, but her make up was perfect, as usual. Her face had a mix of emotions and I couldn't tell what she was thinking until the radio was suddenly turned up so loud, that I thought my ears would bleed.
"I love this song." she exclaimed.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" I said, trying to speak over the music, but that wasn't happening.
She just started singing,"Lay your weary head to rest and don't you cry no more," when the car came to a stop.
She turned off the radio, and I saw a brick wall. Some how we got into an alley. When the hell did we get here.
"We're here!" she yelled, her ears still not used to the quiet.
"So, what are we doing?" My blond hair blew out of my eyes, and I instantly regretted my question. Her wicked smile was answer enough.
