The bell for summer finally rang at 3 o'clock. I don't even pack up, I grab all my stuff and bolt for my locker. I grab everything at my locker and shove in my bag. I wanted to get out of here as soon as I can. It's officially summer and I don't want to spend another second here.
I run out into the summer air. I'm finally a Freshman. I start to walk home. My house was only a three minute walk from my school which defiantly had its pros and cons. I finally reached it and entered the small, cool house.
I literally throw my back pack across the room and make my way to my room when my mom screamed, "TREVOR MORAN! GET BACK HERE AND PICK UP YOUR STUFF!" I immediately run back and pick up my stuff. "Sorry mom. Just practicing my throwing, its gotten weak lately." She nods, even though she knows its a lame excuse.
"Yeah. Well if you stop throwing, I mean practice pitching your backpack, I have important news." she says to me and hands me a plate of cookies, basically reading my mind for a snack. "What?" I ask questionably.
"Well, you know Starlight Records?"
"Yeah."
"They called today."
My eyes widened. "What did they say?"
"They wrote a new song, and they think you should be the one to sing it."
"ARE YOU SERIOUS!" I shout.
"Dead serious. Do you want the job?"
"YES!"
"Okay, I'm going to call them back."
She walked out of the room on her phone, I ate a few and she came in. "You start tomorrow. So save your voice. This might be around a month of recording are you ready for the commitment?"
"Yes," I answer truthfully. She smiles and I walk out the room.
I can't believe I'm going to record tomorrow. I think throughout the night.
