Tired. That was the thing I was. It had been an insanely long day of filming. Plus I wasn't in my hometown, which meant I was in an apartment. I technically wasn't even American. I was Italian. So my home town was in Italy. But it was easier to get cast in a movie in america, so here I was.

My legs and feet were killing me as I made my way through the front doors to the complex with one of my costars. Since we were close, both through filming and not, we decided to get a two bedroom apartment and share it while we were filming. He was nice enough to split the cost with me too. I mean, Tom was a nice person in general so it didn't surprise me too much.

"I am the only one who's exhausted?" He asks, looking down at me. I laugh and shake my head. He either got tired easily or never got tired. And there seemed to be no in between. Some days I would wake up at one in the morning and hear him making coffee in the mini kitchen. Other days when I would get back after him at around 10, he would be passed out on the couch. I never knew which one I was up for with Tom. Sometimes it was both.

"Nope. I am thoroughly exhausted. I don't think I'm even going to change before I climb into bed today. My feet, legs, and even my back are hurting right now. I don't wanna move. But I can't necessarily fall asleep in the lobby." I tell him. He smiles back faintly and nods his head, agreeing with me.

I make my way over to the elevator and press the button to go up. Our apartment was on the top floor so it would take a while to get there. The elevator dings in no time at all and opens to reveal that it's empty. I silently thank the lord above and walk in after Tom. The doors close and the elevator sits there for a moment before slowly, may I add very slowly, starts to take us up.

"For a nicer apartment complex this elevator sucks." Tom says. I laugh and nod my head. Wasn't that the truth. Half of the time we took the stairs, but the other half, we took the elevator. There were actually two, but today the other one was out of service. So we took this one.

I hear one or two creaks but the elevator continues going up. "So. Anything weighing on your mind today Thomas?" I ask. He looks over and down at me, an eyebrow raised. "Why are you asking?"

"Because it will probably take us a while to get up to our room and I thought we may as well talk about something." I say shrugging my shoulders. He leans his head back and laughs a genuine laugh, which I had to admit - only to myself of course - that I adored. One of many things I liked about Tom Hiddleston.

"Sure. Nothing's really on my mind. Uh, you did a good job today during filming." He says.

"Thanks. You too. Hey did you-" I'm cut off from my sentence by a loud creak, groan, and then a subtle shake of the elevator. The elevator had stopped. I scrunch up my forehead and look at Tom, shrugging before looking at the doors. But they were still shut.

"Uh, (y/n)."

"What?"

"It says we're on floor 4." He says pointing at the small screen far above the buttons. Our apartment was on floor 6. What was going on. Was it stuck? Oh god. We could not be stuck. Riding in an elevator was okay. But being stuck in one was not. I had a fear of confining spaces. So being in an elevator for a couple hours would eventually get to me.

Tom seems to realize that something is wrong. "Are you okay? Your eyes are practically bugging out of your head." He steps closer and is about to place a hand on my shoulder but I turn around and face the wall. I lean my head up against it.

"This cannot be happening."

It's then that I feel Tom's hand on my shoulder. I could feel his body heat from where he stood. "Hey." At that one word I practically float away and melt to the floor at the same time. He had spoken directly into my ear in a hushed tone. And I couldn't help my reaction since he had that beautiful British accent and had his warm breath against my neck. He continues, "You'll be fine. Breathe."

But I couldn't breathe. Everything had me breathless. His voice, his closeness, the situation with the stuck elevator. It practically forced me to face the fact that I liked him. Me, a thirty something year old woman, had a crush on Tom Hiddleston. You could say I was different since I actually had a chance. But we were just costars, so he probably didn't like me like that. Even if he did I obviously didn't know.

Despite everything going on I try to slow my breathing. Everything would be okay. We could just press the elevator call button or something and it would-. Wait. The staff was off at night. It was one of the things they told us when we moved in. So nobody could get us until morning.

My breathing speeds up even more and my grip on the bars attached to the walls goes from light to white knuckle. Tom seems to notice and moves both of his hands around my waist and sets them on top of mine. I watch as he slowly pries my fingers off the bar. He pulls me around to face him and keeps his hands in mine.

"We'll be fine." He says.

I look up at him. "Tom, they won't be here until morning. I can't be here that long...i-i can't." I was seriously starting to get freaked out. I couldn't do it. We wouldn't be fine.

He squeezes my hands for a second before releasing his grip on them and pulling me into a hug. And hugs from Hiddleston were always something that calmed me. It takes a moment but I wrap my arms around his waist and hug him back, my breathing finally slowing down a little. He rests his chin on my head and sighs. "I won't let anything happen to you while I'm here. I'll keep you safe."

He starts to trace circles on my back with his fingers and a sigh escapes my lips. It felt good. He pulls back slightly, a worried look on his face. "I'm sorry, are you okay? I shouldn't have done that."

I laugh. "I'm fine. It actually felt good. Calming." I say smiling at him.

He smiles back down at me, happiness clear in his eyes. But then again, the more I looked at his eyes the more his expression seemed to portray....mischief?

"Calming, huh. What about this?"

He leans down and presses his lips to mine in a really gentle kiss. I immediately melt into it like chocolate. His hands stayed at my waist as we kissed and even after he pulled away. We look at each other for a minute.

"Yeah." I answer his previous question.

He laughs at me and pulls me slightly closer. "Good."

When the rescue team found the two of you the next morning you were snuggled up asleep in Tom's arms on the floor of the elevator. You had both gotten too tired to stand up and needed the body warmth.
