Demons Revenge: battles in the heart

After a day of walking through the under passes we finally came out into a forest, we all agreed to rest for a while and come up with a plan. Maka hadn’t spoken in a while, mind you none of the older EAT class did and for some reason I couldn’t bring myself to trust Ari and Chen…why was that? “Misty?” I spun round the moment I heard my name, everyone seemed so sad. “yeah, Tiger?” I answered. She slumped to the ground “we can’t beat them can we?” she asked. Everyone looked at me, I sighed “Right enough of this no do attitude and more can do please! DWMA and Death City need us!” I thought it made a good little pep talk “but none of you are strong enough misty…” Uncle Matt added. I stood there and thought long and hard about what we should do “team up…Suits…” I started to mumble to myself as I made a mental note of what has happened so far. “Jackpot!” I said with determination, everyone looked at me confused, well except Phoenix, he lent against a tree smirking “what do you mean “Jackpot”?” Kid asked. I laughed and stood there smiling, I felt real achievement with my solution. “we train up, Misty still has three suits of magic to learn, with those we can team up using Soul link and kick some giant demon ass.” Phoenix explained. Everyone seemed a little confused but agreed that was a good idea “I hate to burst your bubble Kids, but we don’t know how quick Misty can learn those spell’s.” Professor Stein explained “Plus there is also the problem with your limits, we need to extend your limit before you even think about training.” He went on. Zuri stood up and stood beside me “I believe in Misty…and I know we can do this, it’s not a problem at all Professor. A problem is only problem until you make it one.” she answered. I stood there still smiling. “very well…”Mifune mumbled. Angela looked at him worriedly “But Mifune if Misty doesn’t-“ Mifune stopped before she could finish “Misty may seem like your average air-head but she isn’t your average mister, if she can defeat Kishin with ease then she can do this with ease too.”

Me and Phoenix went somewhere quiet in the forest, I sat down in an open space and concentrated on summoning Isa for help.  “Whatever is the problem Misty?” I opened my eyes and I was back in the winter wonderland “Isa I need to learn the other suits now, it’s an emergency!” I wailed. She titled her head and then she seemed to get what I was saying “the DWMA and death city?” she asked, I nodded “everyone is depending on me to learn these suits!” I started crying, Isa dried my tears “Child, you can only do your best. My sisters shall help you but I warn you Misty…it will be challenging.” She said softly but stern. I nodded “I’m ready…” I sobbed.  She smiled and giggled. She disappeared and the winter wonderland slowly melt and a breeze started sway in.  A figure of a woman appeared, it was windy! “you!?” I asked as I held my arms over my face as the winds got harsh. She laughed “you wanna learn the suit of club or what?” she hissed.  I tried to stand without having to defend my face from the harsh winds, I nodded.  She held three dice between her fingers, suddenly the harsh winds returned to the gentle breeze. She threw the dice and as they spun, they made tornadoes.  She guided them round with the hand the dice were originally in,  and asked me to do the same, so I did. I found it easier and easier as we progressed on to the cards, since I had already learnt how to use one suit, it was pretty much the same but a different element. It was like this for hearts (fire) and Spades (earth). Fury showed me how to create a ring of fire using only two dice and Eartha showed me how to make helpful beanstalk to get to high places. Then all four of the elemental sisters showed me how also use the joker card, but I could only use this as a soul residence.

When I opened my eyes again I was back in the open space with Phoenix a sleep in front of me. I smiled and started to poke him awake; he battered my hand a way a few times before waking up and saying “oh you’re awake now…” I stretched out and yawned “well?” I smiled “those demons won’t know what hit them!” we both started laughing. We returned to the others, We sat with Angela and waited for everyone to finish, Zuri wielded a ninja sword and was paired up with Chrona. Blackstar was paired with Tiger, Maka was paired with Ari who was also a single bladed scythe mister, Kid was paired with Deka who wielded one bright green gun.  Mifune walked over to me and Phoenix “Phoenix you’re a double bladed Scythe right?” Phoenix looked at Mifune out the corner of his eye “yeah?” he answered. Mifune chuckled “good. Misty how do you feel about going up against Maka and Ari?” Mifune asked. I smiled at the idea but…”No way! Misty losses her concentration to easy, she could get hurt.” Phoenix moaned. I jumped up and turned to face Phoenix. I held out my hand “I’ll be okay Phoenix, besides it be good practise, the cuts will only prove that!” I smiled. He looked at me concerned, he sighed “Fine, but if you get hurt…” I looked at him confused “Don’t expect me to read you a book or two at your bedside.” He continued. I smiled and giggled. Phoenix transformed into his Scythe form and Mifune made Maka and Ari aware I was joining in.

 I waddled over smiling “you too are really good!” I said joyfully. Soul started chuckling “well let’s see how you do.” He said. Maka smirked and started to attack but I blocked her attacks with ease, but Ari hadn’t attacked yet, why? I noticed Maka’s fighting skills were to a rhythm almost as if she and Soul were dancing. I used that to my advantaged and did my best to figure out her next moves.  But she was also good at blocking my attacks, we kept going till one point, Soul and Phoenix got tangled up “huh?” me and Maka where both equally confused, because no matter how hard we tried to untangle our weapons it wouldn’t work! “Misty, what’s going on!?” Phoenix asked “I don’t know, I’m trying to get you out of there but it’s like you’re too heavy to wield!” I wailed. Maka started to look worried “Misty can you do this?” she asked, I shook my head “I can only cause elemental magic; I can’t change the weight of an object.” We heard a disturbing laughter from Ari, we looked over and he had a huge scary grin on his face “Ari!? Okay you can let us go now!” Maka yelled.  He held Chen to the side and charged, before he struck I remembered the dispel spell, I threw the dice around us and we quickly parted as Ari hit nothing but solid ground, I sighed with the relief “you okay Phoenix?” I asked, But I wasn’t getting any response. “Phoenix? Hey phoenix answer-“he changed back into his normal form, I quickly caught him but because he is heavier than me I fell to the ground on my knee’s with him. I couldn’t see anything but smoke where the dirt hand been thrown into the air. “Phoenix! Hey this is no time to be sleeping! Ari’s gone crazy and you decided to sleep! Wake up!” I started to try and shake Phoenix awake, I heard a loud clang in front of me. Everything was happening to fast… “Misty…Misty…”I could Maka but my vision started going fuzzy “Misty!” I shook my head and looked up, there was Maka trying to hold of Ari and Chen with Soul. “you okay?” she asked. I nodded “Maka Phoenix isn’t waking up, what should I do?” I started to cry, I started to fear for Phoenix’s life… Maka pushed Ari off and he was still smirking with that craze look.  “Haven’t you noticed Chen hasn’t said a word either?” he asked with a smirk. I thought back to me and Maka dodging his attack. “Oh no…” I remembered by accident, Phoenix Clipped (tapped) Chen. “Misty…?” Maka asked “Phoenix accidently tapped Chen when we dodged…this must be there soul residence!” I sobbed.  Ari smirked “that’s right, right now the two of them are fighting inside the deepest part of Phoenix’s consciousness…I doubt Phoenix will ever wake again.” He said smugly.  I didn’t know what to do “P-phoenix…” I hugged him “you gotta win! You just…have too!” I sobbed. Phoenix will win…
