It was boring and lonely. My excistance, I mean. I have no purpose and no dreams or ambitous in my life. I just bumble along trying to find something to do look up to, though I can't find anything! One day at school I when I met up with my friends at form class there was one word on everyones lips, or more 2 words... New kid. I sighed as I listened to my best friend carragh say it over and over and over and over and over again. I mean we've had new kids before, loads in fact but only one boy, so every time a new kid comes by its always the hope that it'll be a boy. Personally, I never pay much attention to the new ones anyway. But this one is no exceptions. Although you never know, maybe it'll be someone nice. I was thinking, unlike everyone else, about the lunch menu for today when our head of year came in with a clip board, "EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!" She screamed amongst the silence, "I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!" Everyone stopped thinking and started listening to Mrs Maddison as she read from her hefty clipboard, "we have a new student in our class today, he's came all the way from America," so it was a boy, carraghs face lit up as Mrs Maddison spoke, "this is, Daniel Mason"
