CHAPTER FOUR

The mall was fill with walking customers and everyone holding designer bags. Carly felt like she was in a magical land and the credit card was her wand that could grant any of her wishes. Carly approached skirt world and immediately ran in, leaving me at the door. I didn’t feel comfortable walking in because pink fuzzy mini skirts wasn’t my thing.

Then a blurry figure appeared in the corner of my eye, and this figure began to come closer. I looked and it was none other than Jeremy Richards. He escaped his group of dude friends and approached me. I thought maybe his friends dared him to come talk to me, or to say some weird comment because as he came they whispered and snickered a little bit. Jocks are so typical.

His face surprised me. He seemed more nicer in person by than what I heard around town. His brown eye brows raised as he came closer. His bright red shirt showed of his biceps that made me shiver in my stance.

“ Aren’t you that new girl….Um, Kris, right.” His perfect teeth showed through his lips.

“ Yeah that’s me.” I said with a nervous remark.

I felt this was to good to be true. This guy had dated the most popular girl in school, and is quarterback of the Falcons. Why would he be talking to the new girl who most people thought was imported from Mexico or something. “So, are you like the hero of the town or something?”

His charm began to woe me. “ No, but most people think I am. The mayor even through the football team a banquet in our honor and I was the main teammate he honored.”

“ I guess the mayor is big around her huh?”

“ Guess so.” He charmed me somemore.

Our conversation carried on and Jeremy’s buddies still watched, but who cares. The only thing that distracted me from his eyes were the diabolic stare Carly was giving me while she was shoveling through the skirts. Did her and Jeremy have some sort of past?
