J: Yeah.. Why?
M: Well your boyfriend stormed in looking pretty pissed earlier, I was worried about you.Mark runs his hand through his hair, stretching in bed. Jack had woken him up with his text, but Mark felt that Jack really needed a friend.
J: Hah.. Well I'm OK Markie. He was just a little grumpy..
M: Hey, my phone is slipping out of my hands, mind if I call you?Jack tenses, glancing at the snoring figure beside him. He stands up carefully, and tiptoes out into the hallway. Releasing a breath he didn't know he was holding, Jack replies.
J: Yeah, go ahead.
Mark perks up at this, pressing call and laying his phone on his ear in a lazy way.
"Hello?"
"Hey Jack! Er.. You sound a little hoarse. You sick?"Jack winces. "Uhh y-yeah I've been yelling too much!" He half jokes, assuming Mark would think he was yelling at his video games. How he wish that were true.
"Haha, well take it easy dude, don't want you getting hurt."
Jack almost laughs at this, but he hears a stirring in his -and Tyler's- room.
"Uhh Mark I've got to g-" Jack yelps as a foot comes in contact with his face, scooting away rapidly.
"WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO, SLUT?" Tyler boomed, picking Jack up by his collar.
Jack lets out a strangled yell, whimpering pleas to the enraged man.
Thump, Cry, Crash, Thud
Mark looks at his phone screen, horrified. A helpless feeling washes over him, and he begins to yell into the receiver.
"L-leave him alone! I called him! Its not his fault!"
