Chapter Ten Lucas

So im changing this chapter sorry I felt like it was bad so yea sorry also the wait i still have no internet and at my dads office. Im going to try to come tommorow if I can to update the story but im not sure if I can but yea. Hope you like it.

Two weeks into school I made two new friends Ariana and Andrew, twins. Both have strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. They look exactly the same down to their finger tips. But Andrew is a guy and Ariana you guessed it a girl. Andrew and I have Drama first block. And then Ariana and I have World History second block. Nitey minutes after that we meet outside outside under the old oak tree. And then its Spanish which we are all in. Then school is over.

"Did you hear about the new kid?" Ariana asked one day at lunch while watching the football players tossing a ball around. I check my phone not paying attenion to her. I see that my mom has texted. 'Honey, working late there is money for pizza on the fridge.' I sigh and put my phone back in my pocket. "April are you listening to me?!" Asked Ariana waving her hand in my face.

"Sorry, I'm just in my own world today." She nodded and she contuied talking about how the new kid got kicked out of his old school for banging his teacher. "God, do you really believe that crap?"

"I don't know." She waved at one of the football players whose name I think is Cameron and turned back to us. The bell rang for the last block. While we were walking down the hall Ariana started talking about this popular girl named Kirssy. One thing you should know about Ariana is she likes to talk alot unlike Andrew who is quiet.

We took our seats in the back. Mr.Parker told us to quiet down. He then talked about our next assignment and how we will be chosing a city in Mexico and other stuff. I wasn't in the mood to listen today. I have alot of things on my mind. Last night some people told the cops about how they saw Carson and Alex north of my house, not to far from school. But yet the haven't been caught.

Ever since that text message from Carson my mother and I have been edge. While in mid though I felt something hit my hand and fall to the floor. I looked down to see a crumpled piece of paper then looked back up to see Lucas smiling. I opened it to see his scribbly handwriting was on the it read :

Ms. Jewls said you need a tutor in World History, so she signed me up to be that guy. I'm thinking after this we can grab some food and head to the park to work. I nodded and mouthed, "Meet me at my locker.' And that's what we did. And here I am sitting on a pinic table munching on some fries while Lucas is taking pictures of me. I laugh, "Stop I'm eating."

"Which makes your more adourable." Akward silince came after that. I look at him to see he is playing with his thumbs.

"Can I ask you a question?" I ask while pulling some hair out of my face.

"Just did," he laughed.

"No! I mean," I stoped and sigh. "Why are you being so nice to me all of the sudden? I mean last year you were a total ass." He looked down and mumbled something. "What?"

"I just feel bad. You know about..." He trailed off.

"About getting kidnapped by Carson. Look Lucas I'm a strong girl I dont need your smptathy." I could feel my face getting hot. And I betcha' a nickel that it's red too.

"No you dont understand. What I mean is... Did you know Carson and I were best friends?"

"Yea.

"He would tell me everything. And once you two started dating I could tell he was really happy. But then after awhile he changed Started skipping school, football practice, and when ever it was our shift at the cafe down the street he would always go out back and when I went out there he was talking to some guy and smoking. I would tell him to get back to work and he would cuss me out and said if I told him anyone about what I saw which was nothing really that I would be dead."

"And when he found out a couple of days later that you and I were hanging out he told me that I need to back off and you were his. And if he saw me with you again that he will make my life a living hell. So thats why I became an ass."

I was in shock. I could'nt speak. "Now do you understand?" I nod and looked at him. "Come on lets get you home." Before I got out of the car to go inside my house he called my name.

"Yea Lucas?"

"Be safe." And he kissed me. I ran inside and jumped on my bed. Wow. That was werid but nice.

As I was getting ready for bed the phone rang I answerd but before I could answer the person was already talking. "Megan it's me Erin, you have to come quick it's Carson he is in jail. Megan my son is in jail." And with that he hung up. I went to the caller ID thing to call Lucas but the same number came up. Erin's number. Erin Coldwell, Carson's dad. Why was she calling his dad so much? I dont understand but im getting to the bottom of this.
