"April honey please put the gun down." My hands shook as I held the gun ready to shoot.
"Shut up!" I yell at Carson. He looks so terrifed and he should.
"April, please. Let's just talk. No need for anybody to get hurt.
"I said shut up!" My hair is a mess, I'm starving, and I've been caged up like an animal thanks to him. "You think I've gone crazy. Don't you? Well this is your falut. We would'nt be here if you just left me alone. But no, you decided to take me again. But it's okay because once I'm done here I will be as far away from you as possible."
"April, please." And thats when I shot.
~~~ Five Weeks Earlier~~~
"Let me out!" I yell as I banged on the cage door.
"I thought you were really going to stay with me. Did you really think I would'nt catch on to your little game. For now on your staying in there, intill you learn how to behave." Carson said while sitting down in the chair across from the cage im in.
"So what your going to treat me like a dog."
He chuckled, "If that's what it takes to make your learn that your not leaving. Now be a good girl and lay down." And he walked out of the room laughing. Physcopath is what he is. If only I didn't try to escape. I should have known it was a test. Man im hungry. Please Lucas come save me."
Lucas's P.O.V
"Lucas, calm down. Scrub any harder and your going to brake the plate." I sigh and run my fingers trough my hair.
"I'm sorry mom. It's just. She's been gone for almost two weeks now. They have no leads and I. I just want her back."
"Honey everyone wants her back. The police are doing the best they can."
"Well there best is not good enough." I sigh. "I'm sorry mom. I just feel like shit. I can't just sit here and wait for the police to find her. I have to do something."
"Lucas look at me. All you can do is work on school and wait till a lead comes up."
"And what if there isn't a lead? What if she dosen't come back? I can't live like this mom. I need her here with me." She sighed and pulled me into a hug.
"Don't worry they will find her."
The next morning I got a call from April's mom. "Lucas? How are you doing?"
"Um I could be better. But shouln't I be asking you that?"
She didnt say anything for a couple of seconds. "Yea. I was just thinking about her and well I know you guys really like each other and well I think of you as part of the family."
"Thank you. Have you heard anything yet?"
"Yes I have. The cops said they found secruity tapes of Carson's car at the airport. But thats it. I dont even though if that helps. I just. I dont know. I just wanted to see how you are."
"Well I feel like shit."
She manged a laugh, "Same here. Look the police there talking about closing the search."
"What! They can't."
"That's what I said. But they said the case is getting no where. I thought maybe. I don't know. It's stupid but, maybe we could try looking for her on our own. You know? You, me, her dad, maybe your mom, and some friends."
"Really? I say yes. It's not like the cops are going to do anything."
And so it is settled. We all decided to head out to Cali. next week. Don't worry April, I'll find you. I promise.
