The Wolf Within Me

Chapter 7

"I am done!" with that said I pull all my strength and I force, Ash to stop running. We instantly come to a sliding halt.

"Why did you do that?" Ash says between gasps.

"I am done running, If this ass wants to fight then I am ready to fight." I can feel Ash trying to regain control and start running again. This only makes me want to fight harder. I am so engrossed in my inward battle with Ash that I don't notice that we are surrounded by some very large wolfs.

"Um Ash I think we are about to be in a very large dog fight, what do you suggest?" As I say this a very large black wolf comes out of the trees. He is huge and radiates power and I can't help as my legs give out under me and I am left kneeling on my front legs my neck exposed to this powerful alpha. I want to jump up and rip his throat out but I am powerless in his presence while I am in wolf form.

"Dammit Ash let me change back." I say in my mind but I am met with only silence. I scream to Ash in my mind but still there is only silence. I hear a deep rumbling and I glance up. That ass is laughing at me. I can feel my temper rise and I want to desperately beat the crap out of him, but it's like I am paralyzed. What the hell did he do to me?

"Your wolf has decided to be submissive and therefore I claim you, and your wolf as mine." the large black wolf says smugly. I really want to slap him. I try to tell him just what I think of him but I can't speak. I am really hating this whole wolf thing and part of me still hopes that I am just dreaming.

"Ash, now would be a good time to make an appearance." I wait for her to respond but there is still only silence.

"She won't mind speak with you until I release her." I look up at the ass and glare at him.

"You may speak human." there is a snap and a pop like my ears have adjusted to a high altitude and I let out a yell and try to lunge at the imposing figure that stands arrogantly in front of me, but I don't budge.

"What the hell did you do to me?" I scream at him. Only it's in my mind. I sure hope he heard that because I really want to give him a piece of my mind. The arrogant ass.

"I can hear you human, but if you don't learn your place then you will be punished by our laws." I start to protest that I am not part of his world when a sharp pain radiates down my body and I collapse at the alphas feet. The pain continues to burn through my nerves and I start to convulse.

"Do you understand that I hold the power over you human and you are mine." I can't speak but I try to relay that I get it, and I will behave, just take that pain away. Instantly the pain is gone and I lay panting on the ground. I am covered in dirt, and twigs and leaves cover my fur.

"Please Breanna just go with him and don't say anything. He can kill us now if he chooses." Oh now she says something. My temper rises again.

"Where the hell have you been?" I say to Ash.

"You don't learn very quickly human." the alpha says but he's not zapping me with pain so I think I may have gotten away with my slip up. I look up at him and he has changed from his wolf form to human.

I gasp because he is the most gorgeous man I have ever seen. He is tall, very tall, well over 6 foot with lean muscle and an athletic build. His black hair is just a little to long in the back and his bangs brush his eyes. I have the sudden desire to move that hair from his face and look into his eyes. I can't tell what color they are in the darkness but I know I would get lost in them. Get a grip Bre he is the enemy I say to myself and try to change back to my human form. To my surprise I instantly change.

Then I realize that I am naked in front of this pack of wolfs and so is the alpha. I take a few steps to the side and try to find something to cover myself with, but there is nothing. Just trees and brush.

"Do not hide human, we have all seen you and it is nothing that our kind is not accustomed to." He chuckles and gestures at his pack of goons and they all transform. I cover my eyes, and run to the nearest bush and try to shrink into a ball behind it.

"You goons may be use to being naked all the time, but I am not. So if you don't mind can you all turn around." they all laugh, yes they laugh at me. My temper rises and then Ash has mercy on me and transforms back into the wolf. I relax and walk out from behind the bush. Somehow seeing all the naked man candy around me isn't so bad in wolf form.

As I step out from behind the bush the alpha walks up to me and takes ahold of my jaw and looks into my eyes. I can now see that his eyes are a startling shade of green. Like emeralds in a sea of obsidian. I am speechless and my insides go weak and I feel a buzz zip through my body as he looks at me. His voice softens and he smiles showing straight white teeth. I shiver as he speaks.

"I am Quinton the alpha of the western pack and you are on my territory." I can't do anything but stare into his eyes, I am lost in a trance. "Since you are an unclaimed female, I claim you and offer my protection as long as you agree to be my bond mate." I am snapped out of my trance.

His what?
