As I make my way to the post office, I feel someone following behind me. Out of nowhere a man appears by my side. "Get away from me!!!" I yelled without looking at his features and began to sprint across the street, when a car screeched out in front of me. The guy came running after me attempting to stop the car as I stood idle in the center of the road. He furiously slammed the bumper as the car came to a halt.

"What the fuck are you doing?! You almost killed yourself out here!" This voice sounded so familiar.. But where have I heard it before? "Come on. We have to get you to the safe part of the street. Apparently I'm something bad." I felt his strong grasp on my forearm as I began to walk back to where I first noticed his attendance. "What's wrong with you?"

I lifted my gaze to the beautiful blue-green eyes of who turned out to be Gavin. I know I haven't been here very long, but this is the cutest guy I've ever seen. I lose myself within his amazing eyes. "Uhm...Willow?" Gavin said snapping me back into reality.

"I-I-I thought i was being followed..." I trailed off as I began briskly running towards the post office. Who knows how much more time I have until they close!

"W-Wait! Where are you going?" Gavin yelled chasing after me, and grabbing my forearm spinning me around into his arms.

"I have to get to the post office! I wrote a letter to my father, and i have a few bills i have to mail off tonight!" Looking back at him, I started off again.

"Well may I come with you?.. I know a shortcut! You only have 10 minutes until they close, and unless you're the worlds best track runner in history, you won't make it." He said catching up to me once again.

"Well what are you standing around for? Show me where to go!" I yelled yanking him towards me.

"Uh, okay!.. Well, let's go!" Gavin replied. He grabbed my hand as he headed through an alley, with me stumbling behind. We made our way through dark, creepy alleys; hopped towering fences; and ran as if it was our final hour on Earth. With an amazing two minutes to spare, we arrived at the head of the post office. "Well. Here you are!" He said breaking the silence between our simultaneous heavy breaths.

"Thank - you - so much." I happened to spit out between breaths as I hurriedly yank out everything from my back pocket. "Bill. Bill. Bill. ..... Uhm.." I trailed off frantically searching for my letter to my dad. "What? Did I really just lose it?! No!!!!"

"What's going on? Willow are you okay?!!" Gavin stated, grabbing my shoulder.

"My letter.. to my father.. it's gone!!!!!" As soon as I said letter, Gavin began to pull something out of his back pocket.

"Is this it? I found this after I stopped the car from basically hitting you. But I wasn't sure if this belonged to you or not." He said as I snatched the crinkled letter laying on his sweaty palm.

"I've got to hurry!" I blurted out running towards to open slot of the mailbox. "....and I made it. Here you go ma'am. I know it's literally last minute, but I really need these sent off as soon as possible. Please and thank you." The lady behind the glass wall took 'service with a smile' even if it was almost midnight.

"I'm sorry if I caused any trou-"

"No, no, no. You're perfectly fine! I live with what feels like a million and one little kids in the foster home a couple blocks down. You're name's Gavin,... right?" I said cutting him off mid-sentence.

"Uh. Yeah. That's my name." He said sheepishly as a dark shade of red crept up the back of his neck, although he tried playing it off by smirking and looking away it didn't seem to work. But was real cute coming from him.

"Well nice meeting you Gavin. Tonight was quite an adventure, I'll tell you that."

"What? You don't like adventure?" He said adding in such a dramatic gasp.
