A week later

I hear a low voice in my head. I turn over in my sheets.

Laura

I groan in my sleep.

Something's coming...

A blue strobing light hovers in front of my eyes. My eyes slowly open and the light disappears.

I groan aloud "I just wanna sleep." I say groggily. I sigh and get up to grab a glass of water.

I stand in the moonlit kitchen rubbing my eyes and sipping the cool water.
"Laura...that's you?" I hear footsteps approach and I almost jump. "Y-yes Lucasm" He stands in the kitchen with his eyes half open and his hair sticking out all over.

"Im thirsty." he mumbles and rubs his throat. I poor him a glass of water. "Thanks" He says once he downs the glass. "So why are you up?" I lift the glass in my hand, "Water." he nods, "Oh...ok" He turns to walk away, "Night." He drags himself back to his room. "Night." I respond.

I sigh into my cup. I find it hard to fall asleep once I'm awakened. I take one last gulp and down the rest in the sink.

I sit back on my bed. I stare at the ceiling then look down at the clock 2:05 a.m. I groan again. "I can't sleep." I get up and head to the bathroom. One thing I like to do now is if I can't sleep I take a dip in the Jacuzzi or watch some TV. I start the water. While the tub fills up I stand in front of the mirror.

I stare back at the white blonde with freckles and emerald eyes. I trace my jaw then the slope of my nose. I'm not really bad looking. I look at my eyes and the way they sparkled like actual gems. I study them a bit more till suddenly a blue flicker suddenly jumps from inside my eyes. "Woah." I jump back then look closer in the mirror at my eyes. Around my pupil there was a small blue flare. "Weird..." I blink and the blue disappears as quick as it came.

I turn back to the tub and the water is almost overflowing. "Ah shit." I jump away from the sink and quickly turn off the faucet. I sit on the edge of the tub pondering. "Where have I seen that blue before." I try thinking back to a time I've seen something like it. I felt like I have but I couldn't seem to figure out when or where.

My head starts to hurt a bit. I rub my temple and decided to drop the thought. I submerged myself into the tub and sat there with my eyes closed.

"Mmmm" the warm water was relaxing my muscles. I let out a satisfied sigh.
This usually helped relax me so I could fall back asleep. Worked better than warm milk.

30 minutes later the water starts to get cold so I hop out the tub feeling light and ready to catch some hours of shut eye.
