I don't know how many days have passed. My cell in Eichen didn't have any windows now. Not after what happened in my previous room. I know I made the promise to never speak again, and I haven't, but I never said I was going to remain in that crazy place without trying to escape. I tried to jump from the window. I broke the glass with my fist. Sadly, the shattered glass made too much noise when they fell on the concrete floor and the nurses came to stripe me on the bed. Also, I broke my hand due to the impact so they had to take me to the nursery once I calmed down. When my mother heard about what happened, she gave the facility permission to take me to the holding cells, the one they keep especially for supernatural people, although my mother didn't know about this.

She came to see me a lot. Tried to talk me down. Told me that all the medicines and stuff they were giving to me was for my own good. But I did not answer to her. I refused to talk to her. My mother started to get even more worried about my health and the doctors recommended her to allow me participate in an electroshock therapy they were developing so that I started talking again.

She accepted.

Today is the day the therapy starts. I hardly doubt it's going to do anything. They will probably fry my neurons, or actually turn me into a crazy person. Who cares now? Doesn't my mother think I'm crazy? The doctors know what I am. They know I am a banshee and they want to cut me open and investigate what makes me different. They know who my grandmother was. The only reason they don't physically hurt me is because my mother is every single day visiting me.

"Hello Lydia, how did you wake up today?"

The doctor knew I wasn't gonna answer him.

"Okay then. The same as yesterday. You know? You should start talking. I mean the whole reason why we are doing this is because your mother thinks you are in shock. But you and I both know you aren't."

I obviously didn't answer.

"Right. Okay. Let's start with the therapy."

He brought a huge machine that was meant to get the electricity inside my brain and body. He put the metal ends of the machine on my forehead and press the botton that started the machine.

At first I didn't feel anything, the doctor put inside my mouth a cloth and intensified the power. That's when I felt like a ton of bees were stinging my head. I couldn't control my body. I was seezing. I knew the doctor was having fun because a tiny little grunt came out of my mouth. But even though I was in pain I wasn't going to let him hear me scream so I bit my tongue and waited for it to be over.

I must have passed out during the shocks because I started to dream about my friends. I could see Scott, trying to help his mom with dinner but too upset to realize what he was doing so he almost set the house on fire. I could see Malia, mad at someone and running through the woods. Kira, looking at her katana while she cleaned it and Stiles. He had was looking at the text I sent him all those days ago. He was lying in his bed and couldn't sleep. Oh Stiles. It was such a torture for him. I shouldn't have told him that way. He probably already knows I'm locked here. He can't help me and I made it worse by telling him how I felt. Or how I thought I felt. Knowing I was locked up in a the same place he almost died was as painful as the torture I had to experience before I blacked out.

Then I saw my grandmother, she was sitting on a chair at the lake house.

"Ariel, come here my love."

I approached her without even thinking about it.

"You are stronger than you think. Hold on. You will get your opportunity to escape from that place. Just wait."

"What do you mean?" I don't know how not to talk in a dream.

"When you need it the most, your real banshee powers will show up. I was strong but you my child, you are special. Hold on for a couple of days, until your friends are ready. You'll know what I mean. You'll use your voice for more than just screaming so take care of it."

"Does that mean you don't want me to talk yet? And how am I talking to you how is this possible?"

"Like I told you, you are special, Ariel. You can predict death but you can also interact with it. You can do so many things. You are strong, baby. You just have to believe it bad enough."

She kissed me in the forehead, right where the electroshock machine once was and then she disappeared into the darkness of my unconsciousness.
