A Wave Of A Wand

Hello, darlings! From now on, I think I'll just do third person POV, because it'll fit in with this story better. Enjoy!

A chant of an incantation and a wave of a wand. That was all it took to cast that spell. England was't a novice at the particular spell the other countries wanted; he had guiltily cast it many times before. It wasn't something he was fond of.

And so, looking at his peers seated around the table in one of the unoccupied rooms he had found, England huffed, gruffly refusing to cast it.

"I've done it on all of the nations you wanted me to," he reminded them. "But no more. The poor soul- whoever they are- don't deserve it."

Southern Italy leaned forward. "Tch," he spat, uncharacteristically serious. "Listen, bastard. We both know that each nation is guilty of doing something. We don't have morals, at least not the same kind as our people do." His eyes grew hazy before locking onto England. "We aren't exactly human, idiot. And maybe that's why we deserve it. The pain that comes along with that spell."

England bit the inside of his lip. His resolve was breaking, cracks appearing in his defenses. All countries knew the truth of their nature.

No nation could thrive without wading through blood.

He prodded more. "What prompted this so suddenly?" he asked.

France sighed, fiddling with a rose. "Tensions have been building up with this certain nation for a while. Nearly everyone hates him, but not as much as his people hate himself. It's quite sad, really. And with all the drama going on, everyone's just waiting for the country to," France chuckled remorsefully. "Snap."

Switzerland listened into the conversation attentively. He really didn't have a grudge against the American, but it was just something about him that made him... angry. He wasn't sure why, and he knew other countries were just as conflicted with their feelings as he was.

It was like whenever the name America popped on the newspaper for some mistake or the other, he would be drawn to it, madder and quicker to criticize than if it were any other country, such as Finland or Russia. Everyone made bad choices; his just stood out more. It was like his country was a beacon for flames.

"Si," Spain chimed in after France. "The country is an abnormality. It is different that others, and that difference may perhaps just- as they say it- 'make or break it.'"

Iceland nodded. "Think of it as an experiment," he offered monotonously. "An experiment that will benefit not only us, but him as well."

"Oh bullocks," he grumbled. "Isn't there someone else who can cast the spell? Norway and Romania are here!"

Norway bluntly said, "We could cast it, but keep in mind that it was you who have casted this certain spell all the times before. If we do it, then there's a greater chance of messing up compared to you, for once."

"Fine," he finally relented. "I'll do it. But keep in mind whatever irreparable damage this spell causes the poor nation is all on you," he said accusingly at everyone present.

England pursed his lips. He scanned the room; many nations had decided to meet up for this little project of theirs. There was Switzerland, the Nordics, most of Europe, and some of Asia. Africa was present and all of South America. No North Americans. That got him nervous.

"Wait. Who am I casting the spell on?" England asked suspiciously.

France smiled dryly. " None other that our dear America, of course."

After appeasing a particularly feisty Brit, the nations had all decided to split up and tell the news to the countries that weren't originally told about what was going to happen because of loyalty to the American. Hopefully, they would see reason and join everyone else. Otherwise they would not reap the benefits of the spell.

France and Prussia went to inform Germany, who had not been told simply because of his very good improving relations with the country and sense of duty and order, seeing as what they were planning would be anything but orderly.

Germany was still in the world meeting room, organizing his papers and looking over his notes. He hadn't taken his lunch break yet.

Prussia burst into the room. "West!" he greeted Germany. "How would you feel about us doing that one spell- you know, the one we named Stimulation- on America?"

Germany slowly looked up from his notes. He blinked. And blinked again. "No," he deadpanned. "Go away."

He looked back down at his notes and started writing.

"But West! Think about it! This is a once in a time chance to- I dunno- figure him out?"

Germany paused and looked at Prussia, thinking of his brother's words. True, the American was something... different than what he was used too, but he didn't think that gave him the right to invade his privacy with a spell. Though, he was a tad resentful that America had risen up in the world so fast with the least blood shed of all.

Germany shook his head no, trying to push those thoughts away.

"Don't you want to learn more about him?" Prussia urged. "We've all gone through it, why not him?"

Germany looked distraught. "It is wrong, bruder."

France spoke up. "Mon ami, this is our chance to see what Amerique is really made of. He is our ally, and as allies, he must prove strong enough to help us in the future." France purred and said slyly, "Besides, he is the hero, is he not?"

Meanwhile, Cuba had left alone to convince Canada. It was easy, seeing as the Canadian was wary at first but had a lot of pent up anger directed at his brother. Cuba saw his friend's eyes flash greedily at the prospect of getting back at his brother. However, no matter how angry he was, he still tentatively asked if it would hurt the American.

Cuba quickly shook his head and said 'no, how could they even think about harming someone as dear to them as America'.

Canada brightened up and agreed quickly. He never saw the Cuban's crossed fingers behind his back.

The rest of the nations quickly convinced those closest to them that this was the best plan of action. Even South Korea and Japan- two of America's trusted allies- folded at the prospect of learning more about the idiotic nation. All it took was empty promises of the American's safety and they were as good as sold.

China hid a smile behind a long sleeve. Hopefully this would teach the American pig that in this world, there were no true allies.

He finished muttering the details to his brothers. The spell would take place tomorrow, half way through the meeting. After that was all well and over with, he bid his siblings a good bye and walked with a giddiness that he hadn't felt in a long time. Japan and South Korea had been the last nations to be told, so now every nation was aware of what would take place tomorrow. China left the room feeling happier than he had been in a while.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What the rest of the nations didn't know was that they forgot to tell one nation about their plan.

It was quite a pity, seeing as said nation had heard everything that was to take place tomorrow. A childish smile on his face, he decided he didn't quite want to let the American suffer from a hand that wasn't his own.

Humming, the nation let out a chuckle. "It seems the silly American is in quite the predicament. How unsurprising." He opened his eyes, looking out the window with childish wonder. Smiling, the nation caught sight of a certain American rushing into the building as to not be late for the second part of the meeting.

"I suppose the responsibility falls to me to make sure the stupid pig makes it out unscarred, da?"
