Jennifers scratchy voice turned into a calm, soft laugh that continuously grew louder. Thalia's worried expression also morphed into the corners of her mouth growing bigger and bigger, until she began to laugh aswell.
"You coming to school today? It's the first day of the rest of your life. You've got to let me take you to school in my new car. The best impressions for the next four years of our life, Thalia." Jennifer and Thalia were going into ninth grade. Of course, Thalia's perspective on high school was the exact opposite of Jennifers, but that didnt stop Thalia from doing things with her. "I can't go. Dr Shaw is taking me to school and dropping my..pills off. I wish he would give me a break sometimes, you know?" Thalia said eerily.
"Ugh. I was so hoping I could take you to school. But Ill see you there, okay? Take a picture of all the cute guys you see in the halls. Ill be writing our names on all of the signups for the clubs that seem at least a little interesting. Were only 15 years old, and you only live once, so im gonna make this year wild. Love ya!" Jennifer ended the call before Thalia could say goodbye, so she grabbed the straps of her backpack and dragged her and the bag down the stairs.
