I stood there still not sure what to do and watched Harry as he walked into his room, leaving me standing here, not sure of what to do next. He doesn’t bother to close his door, I watch him take off his shirt and drop into the bed. He reaches into the covers and pulls out a small remote, I hear beeps and then assume that he must have switched on the A/C. After thirty seconds of closing his eyes he gets back up and looks at me.
“Good night Leah, quit staring and go back to bed, cause if you don’t do that you’re gonna freak me out. I’m praying you’re not a sexy little stalker” Finally snapping out my momentary paralysis, I managed to nod my head and walk back into my room.
I lay on my bed with my eyes wide open. How can I be so irresponsible? I can’t live with a guy, my mum will slaughter me and no, I’m not even exaggerating. Maybe, we can talk about it tomorrow and figure things out. I’ll move out, faster than I moved in and find a new flat, simple, right?
I let out a loud sigh and closed my eyes. Hopefully tomorrow would make sense.
“Uh….Harry? You awake?” I nudge his shoulders, but he doesn’t even realize it. I shouldn’t be in his room. I shouldn’t be waking people up either, I know that if I was the one getting woken up, I’d probably kick the person – unintentionally of course.
After five minutes, I give up, he’s sound asleep, it’s ten o’clock and I’ve already started repacking and I have no idea what to do. I slouch into the sofa and take out my phone, I want to call my mum and ask her to help me out, like she always does. But that can’t happen, not this time. Suddenly my phone buzzes. It’s a message from Dustin. And then I remember that I have his number! I immediately find his name in my contacts and call him.
“Mornin’ babe” I can hear him smiling, I don’t know how, but mainly because he sounds happy.
“DUSTIN! You idiot, why didn’t you tell me this was Harry’s house and not CeCe’s?” I scream at him, unleashing all the confusion, anger and irritation I had gather up since last night.
“…I didn’t?” I hear him laugh which only makes me more frustrated.
“I’m sorry, yeah its Harry’s house…what’s wrong?”
“What’s wrong?! Dustin, I can’t live with a guy for a whole year!”
“Okay first of all, will you stop referring to me with my name in every sentence? I mean I know you’re talking to me. Secondly, you’re gonna live here for a year?”
“Yeah……you see my problem now?” I sigh as the conversation comes to the point.
“No, not really” according to my instincts if he was sitting in front of me I sure as hell would have slapped him.
“Okay, let’s put it this way………Harry’s hot and I’m a girl. Make sense to you now?”
“It’s vague but I think I get what you’re implying. I’ll be there in about 10 minutes. I’ll get Cece too”
“Thanks” I hope someone can come up with a solution. But this house is beautiful, ugh why are all the good things always taken away from me?
Harry’s eyes refuse to stay open, he keeps rubbing them and his eyes are a little red. He ruffles his hair and shifts it off of his face.
“Right, so I guess I’ll move out and search for another place” I say as everyone looks at me. We gathered around to discuss it out. It’s funny how these people seem to even care.
“I’m okay with you staying here..” Harry offers as he clears his throat.
“But I’m not! If my mum finds out, I’m done for!” CeCe and Dustin laugh.
