The movers had just brought in the last couple of boxes into the living room when my phone buzzed. It was Meghan. Meghan and I have been friends since elementary school, she has always been the loud and outgoing one while I was always a bit more conservative. I unlock my phone to read the text message from her.
"Hey Amelia, I hope everything is going well so far in New York!"
A smile creeps onto my face as I read the message. Meghan has always been there for me, and she even helped me with the move to New York.
"New York is nice. The movers just left. Time to unpack! 😒"
I sent the message to Meghan and look up at all the boxes scattered around my new apartment. I really have to start unpacking I guess.
