Today was my first day at the bakery, so I got up early and made myself breakfast. Although, I spent 20 minutes looking through boxes just to find a coffee mug and a cooking pan. I sat on the island in my kitchen and ate a batch of scrambled eggs and some cinnamon rolls. I finished up and took the elevator down to the lobby and walked down to the bakery. It was unusually warm, so I wore a pair of short with a red flannel.
__________________I open the doors to the bakery and walk into the back room to find Devyn. She turns around to greet me and a wide smile spreads across her face. Wow, she's beautiful, I think to myself. She directs me to the table with a black apron lying on it and comes over and helps me tie it around my waist.
"Is it too tight?" She asks politely.
"Not at all," I say as I tuck a piece of my chestnut colored hair behind my ear.
I turn around to face Devyn and she leads me to the front counter and explains how everything works, but I'm only half listening. I can't stop looking at Devyn.
My thoughts are interrupted when a sharp pain passes through my abdomen. I wince and put my hand on my stomach."Are you alright?" Devyn asks as her smiles fades and worry washes over her face.
"Yeah, yeah," I reassure her as I take a seat in the nearest chair, wincing again. I urge her to continue explaining everything.
