There is an island near Philadelphia named Zeriosa, not too small, not too big, just enough for everyone to know each other, maybe a poplulation near 100,000 just like Nicobar Islands of India. This piece of land became atourist spot for every kinds of people, tourist, journalist, sociologists and other more scientific professionals , but especially the party goers.

*crowd of people shouting in a hotel bar*

"Go Nikki! For the win!" they cheered while holding their drinks. The girl with long red hair swayed her arm as the ping pong ball countdowned straight into the cup's mouth.

*plop*

The crowd shouted again. "Hail our lady champion of beer pong tournament!" "Hooray!"

Nikki, Nikki Viran is her name. An island dweller girl who doesnt have a permanent hair color. From black to blonde, green, violet, and now, red. For every colors her personality shines in the midst of kaleidoscope. For her being different is not that simple for being simple makes you different. From soles, skirt, bracelet, tops, upto the head she never missed a chance to decor. In front of camera she poses her versatility as a human to a fictional character like faries and enchantresses. This island star model is almost perfect, only her heart is broken... almost perfect. Unlike other girls who got their heart broke, Nikki never cried nor almost cried, but deep inside she carries the forgotten pains.

*Crowd continously cheering Nikki*

Her friends carried her on their shoulders as they celebrate her 4th championship on the annual beer pong tournament. Nikki party-shouted to the crowd as she held up the trophy, "fly high as one!" And everyone responded "fly high as one!" exept on one mystery guy who remained silent with his cigarette hanging by his lips smiling as he watch the crowd gone wild. Both his and Nikki's eyes met as the party music turned louder and the people resumed on the dance floor.

"Jeff!" Nikki called the waiter. "What's your order miss beer pong champion?"Jeff greeted with a note pad on his hand. "One order of chicken skin and a tower of a lady drink," Nikki ordered.

While waiter Jeff is heading towards the bar he suddenly screemed "Hey Sin!" he called out. The mysterious cigarette guy greeted back, they laughed and hugged each other as if they really know each other for a long time. Nikki followed Jeff to greet his friend.

Nikki waved and smiled to the stranger, "hi, are you new here?" .

"Ah yeah, I'm just passing by for few days." He answered bluntly.

He's kinda serious based on Nikki's perception that caught her attention.

"By the way, I'm Nikki." She offered her hand.

"I'm Sin," he smiled.

Jeff interupted the two and gave seats. "Know each other, I'll be there after this serve." Jeff continued his work.

The two seated and Sin took out a small notebook out of his pocket and started writing. Nikki carefully watched him writing and noticed his face. As seconds passed by her stare became so deep and wondered about this man.

Sin looked back to Nikki, "sorry leaving you alone there, I'm just recording stuffs," he returned the notebook and pen to his pocket.

"No, its okay. Its just that you seemed so familiar to me," Nikki intentionally flirted.

Sin raised his shoulders, "who knows? You might have met me before.. somewhere or sometime."

Nikki seemed doubtful to him trying to figure out if he's just serious or flirting back with her.

A moment of silence passed by as he wrote something again on the notebook.

"Ehem," Nikki started again with a fake cough. "How's your work?" she asked while pointing to the notebook.

"Kinda complicated, are you interested?" Sin returned the notes to his pocket.

"Uhm, yeah?" Nikki furrowed her brows, "any clues what is it all about?"

Sin giggled for an unknown reason and looked straightly into Nikki's eyes. Since the bar's musicis too loud Sin leaned towards Nikki's ears, "Do you believe in science?"

Nikki giggled back, "I love science! So what is your work all about?"

Sin moved closer and giggled again, "if so, do you believe in..."

Nikki didn't heard what Sin have said. Jeff just barged in to place thedrinks on their table.

The two young men clasped their hand and greeted each other again catching up updates of their lives since their last meet.

As Jeff returned to his order-taking-job, Sin lit another cigarettestick and wrote something again.

Nikki's getting a nerve on this man for leaving her silent while he's doing something fishy.

"Ehem,"she faked a cough again, "so what are you exactly? A journalist?"

Sin closed his notebook and rubbed his eyes. "I'm a professor," he answered while yawning. Sin noticed how Nikki's eyes wrinked when he yawned. "I'm sorry for not that paying attention, its just that I'm really tired," and Sin grabbed two glasses, placed some ice and poured ladies' drink. "Would you mind?" He raised his glass and handed the other one to Nikki. "Of course, tho its my treat," she laughed.

'Sin is so silent-type,' Nikki said inside her head while watching Sin drink. He has something she can't find in other guys. Its not the looks even he's quite handsome -the right pointed nose, spanish brows, well groomed thin mustache that matches his decent framed eyeglasses, and his stunningly silence. Its just that there is this something she can't explain.

On the other side, Nikki has the looks. She's cute in her petite height, lady arms, thin built yet curvy body, not too big and not too small breasts, and her legitimate-human-personality. Well, Sin noticed those traits as he watched Nikki playing beer pong.

Nikki stood up and sat beside Sin's and peeked what he's writing all about. Sin was surprised when Nikki tried to touch the notes. Sin panickly folded the notebook and some folded papers fell down. Nikki helped the man to pick up his papers. As she bent down she noticed a sketch of a human heart with lots of notes written beside it.

"What's with the heart?" Nikki asked.

Sin remained silent.

"Doc?"Nikki added with her left eyebrow raised.

Sin stared directly to Nikki's eyes. She's full of curiousity. Not just curious to have an answer, but to be answered. The stare lasted for seconds, almost enough to convince the stranger to answer the islander's question.

Sin lit a new cigarette using his depleting one on his lip. "Someday you'll know. Not too far nor distant," he said as he exhaled thesmoke. And then he left with a wave of hand.
