"Alright I'm going to need you to push now miss", the doctor said calmly to the dark haired woman. She did as she was told and after a painful half minuet there was the cry of a new born baby in the air. It would have seemed like a perfect moment if it weren't for the look of horror on the doctors face.
"What is it? What's wrong with my baby?!", the woman asked frantically.
"Please stay calm, there are some unexpected defects. We will tell you what we know as soon as we find out", the nurse next to the woman said. And with that the infant was swept away never to be seen by their mother.
The doctor ran out of the room holding the infant girl in a tiny stretcher. Speeding to the NICU and letting no one see the abnormal child. After showing the child to many nurses and doctors in the area the man asked "What do we do with it?" A nurse spoke up.
"We can't let this thing roam the streets, but we can't kill it either. Tell the mother the child didn't make it. I know a guy who might want it." At that everyone nodded and proceeded with the plan.
~12 years later~
"Rozalia!", shouted Striker from outside my door. I woke up at what I would assume is the same time everyday, but I'm not sure. I get out of bed and attend lessons for my school subjects and then I would be sent to the lab. It could be worse, I mean at least he lets me get somewhat of an education. I have lived here all my life. I was born with a physical mutation and my parents didn't want me. That being said Striker is a horrible man that I will never trust anything he says. I always like to believe he stole me, but I guess I will never know. He could be telling the truth I mean who wants a daughter that looks like me. I have a three foot long light blue tail, scales on my forearms and shins to match. Oh ya and my ears picture an elves ears like Lord of the Rings, ya that but also blue. I'm told that my smile as a toddler scared the guards. Considering my canines look like that of a vampire I can't really blame them.
I enter the lab again and go to the table they send me to everyday.
"Hello James", I said to the scientist that has been doing experiments on me since I can remember.
"You know you aren't slowed to use my first name you bitch now get up. You're working in the big room today. ", James said as he lurched me from the table.
I had never been treated nicely here and I never will be. I knew what the big room meant. I was going to be thrown in there and told to run threw whatever obstacle course they had in there today or else I would face the repercussions. You know typical stuff like no food, beatings, and extended and painful tests.
Today was different though. My abilities allow me to climb up flat surfaces with ease, but there were no walls or huge boxes set up today just a chair in the middle of the room. I walked to it and looked to see if there was anyone around. A voice came on the speakers.
"Sit and wait", said the voice. I did as I was told, but before I could react I was out cold for who knows how long.
