A/N Here it is!!!
All of a sudden, I sprung up. Where was I? What’s in the dark here? My snuffling elevated and I couldn’t smell anything. There were no signs of life, wherever I was. I didn’t want to explore because a) I didn’t know where I was, b) I was in the dark and couldn’t smell or see, and c) I didn’t know how I got here! What is here?, I thought to myself. That was when I heard a small whimpering sound from the corner.
I slowly stalked over to the corner and smells hit me! There was another dog here! A female German shepherd, no less! But why was she here? And why was I here? Her whining brought me back to reality. Then, that was when I saw a small crack of light. We must be behind a door of some sort. The female spoke to me.
“What’s your name?” she asked me, her yipping laborious.
“Ajax”, I replied. And yours?”
“Allegra, and there’s many things I need to tell you, Ajax”, Allegra said. “Here goes nothing”. And this is what she said to me:
This man, John he is called, runs an illegal German shepherd guard dog program. He adopts German shepherd puppies and younger dogs and gives them a few weeks in his house. He gives them basic training and things so that they are happy. Then, after three weeks, he ties them to the tree in his backyard for four days and gives the dogs one bowl of kibble and one bowl of water. He lets them recuperate for a few days, and then drugs them. They wake up inside a closet, and are kept in the darkness for six days. When they are let out, they get a muzzle and are taken to a large truck. That truck drives them back into the outskirts of the city, and they are dropped off. Those dogs, whether they like it or not, will become guard dogs.”
