Chapter 8: Me Before You

Once we got home, everyone planned to watch a new film called Me Before You. So I went to go take a shower. As I went to reach a towel I realised I was too small to reach up that high in the cupboard.

"LUKE! COME HELP ME!" I shouted from the landing outside the room.

I heard soft footsteps and Luke appeared from inside the room.

"What's up?" Luke asks curiously.

"Can you get that towel down for me please?" I ask pleadingly.

"Of course." Luke replies laughing.

As he hands me the towel , our eyes meet as Luke starts to slowly lean in. I close my eyes and lean in , I had waited for this.

"Luke can you help with setting the table."My mother shouts from the bottom of the stairs.

He leans back and looks at me with a shocked look.

"Um.Okay Mrs.Williams." Luke replies shocked and embarrassed.

"Okay good." my mother replies loudly.

"I guess I'll be going downstairs, see you in a few." Luke says nervously while pacing back into my room.

As I step onto the cold tiles inside the shower I can't help think about what just happened, I thought he didn't like me, I was sure he was in love with kayla. Maybe I was wrong but I guess I'll never know.

Twenty minutes later, I get out of the shower and put on my pajamas to go back into the room. I was really tired after today so I decided to take a nap.

I walked back into the room to see everyone intently watching the film, I notice Luke on his way back up with a drink.I see Ethan sitting in a corner by himself whilst Kayla was resting on Grayson in our bed.

I guess I'll go rest on Lukes mattress , he won't mind, I thought to myself. So I grabbed a blanket and went to lie down on Lukes mattress. Before I closed my eyes , Luke came and sat down beside me to watch the film with the others. I could feel his stare on me but I was afraid to look over.

"Ally, you can lie on me since I'm using the pillow already." Luke says smiling at me.

"Okay thank you." I reply happily while resting my head on his shoulder as I drifted off to sleep.

About 2 hours later , I wake up to the noise of someone coming into the bed beside me. I open my eyes and I see Luke shirtless and attempting not to disturb me.

"Hey , where's everyone? " I ask Luke quietly.

Luke looks startled, but then he smiles at me ,I guess he mustn't have noticed I was awake.

"They left an hour ago." Luke explains whilst getting comfortable.

"Who's they?" I ask.

"Grayson and Ethan, Kaylas still asleep in your bed, I wouldn't advise waking her." He replied chuckling.

"Oh right okay, is it okay if I stay here for the rest of the night? I don't want to wake up kayla or she'll kill me" I reply laughing.

"Yeah of course you can stay here and oh I forgot to give you this earlier." He replies as he pulls me into him and plants his soft lips onto mine.
