The sound of the car tires pulling up into the gravel road lifted my eyes from my sketchbook, surprising since my music was turned up so loud. I looked around at the place until the car came to a complete halt, I paid the driver and thanked him then stepped out of the car into the cold crisp air.

I got my bags out of the boot, my satchel bag strapped around me and my suitcase by my side. I took a deep breath, only to start having a coughing fit from the dust that floated up into the air as the taxi drove off. Well that was surely a good first impression, people walking on the sidewalk stared at me as I was trying to recover from my wheezing. Once I did I picked up my bags and went inside to the lobby of the dorm.

It was a lot larger than I expected, people were sitting on the couches chatting and introducing themselves while others were playing table tennis, it's basically like everything you'd expect from a typical college. I'll go meet people later, I should find my room first.

After walking up and down what seemed to be around 20 minutes I found my dorm! Room number 38 on the second floor, lucky I got my registration form in early or I would probably be on the upper floors. I used the key I had gotten mailed to me on the door and it opened hurray just like how you'd expect a key to work.

The room was a fairly medium size, relatively clean and untouched, it had everything you'd need in an apartment. Like a living small kitchen? Check, a living space with a huge window that overlooks the campus? Check, a bathroom next to the kitchen in case of emergencies? Check, a hallway with two doors leading into two rooms? Check- wait a moment I didn't know I was gonna have a roommate, oh god. Well I guess it couldn't hurt to say hi, opening both doors I found an empty rooms, I guess they mustn't have arrived yet.

I looked in both rooms and decided to choose the one with the window overlooking the campus grounds, I mean it's a great view and I could get inspiration, after all the college was beautiful, oh and what's not to say that if I wasn't too busy studying or anything I could always try paint the campus from my bedroom.

Might as well start unpacking, I thought to myself. Putting my bags down I opened them and started to empty out the bags and place stuff on the desk. I did my art supplies first like my; paintbrushes, sketchbooks, magazines, pencils, acrylics and watercolors on my desk along with my laptop to charge. It was around 4:00pm when I finished, and then I realised I was supposed to go catch up with a certain person before my day ends.

I quickly grabbed my sketchbook and pencil case then shoved it inside my satchel. I locked the apartment and jogged down the stairs and out of the building, there were less people in the student lounge than before, mainly people reading on the couches and others talking by the vending machine.

Taking a step outside into the chilly autumn air I shivered.  I don't understand why classes need to start in autumn, but then it's only because of summer break. I started heading down the sidewalk with the golden red colored avenue, the scenery was nice but nothing compared to home during fall. I took out the map of the university on my phone, "Main campus courtyard, North Terrence" I mumbled, now to actually find the place.

I arrived at this huge outdoor courtyard which it was modern but nice, it was mostly concrete but it had circles of grassy lawn dotted around the place and trees to provide shade, there were benches and beanbags on the grass and water fountains around the place. This university sure did live up to its name of being an eco-friendly and beautiful place.

I stood there awkwardly for a while waiting, people didn't seem to notice me which was good. I looked around, there were people of all different cultures and kinds around, like how there was an Asian girl who had beautiful flowing hair like silk walking and laughing alongside an Indian girl who liked like she had the face of a goddess. Urgh and then there's me the typical pale skinned nobody, not that I hate who I am, it's just I'm not that special really.

After what seemed like forever I saw a familiar face approach me, even after two years of not seeing her I couldn't forget how she looked, I mean we are related.
