"Michael! Is that you?" She ran towards me with her arms outstretched, I opened up my arms too waiting for her to collide into me.

"Gosh you've grown so much! Wow you're even taller than me and you took after mum," she was playing with my hair, her eyes darting up and down taking in my appearance.

"Yeah it's the same old me" I chuckled, "I haven't changed that much since you left home Alicia"

"So how have things been for you, are you finding it nice here in the college, have you met anyone yet?"

"I'm fine Alicia everything is going alright, no need to start acting like mum, I just arrived here a few hours ago anyway, and I've been unpacking so I haven't been around the place yet" Alicia's eyes sparkled in excitement when I mentioned the last part.

"Oh you should meet my friends then!" She squealed. I laughed nervously, I'm not really used to meeting new people, because unlike my sister I was more introverted while she was extroverted.

Alicia grabbed my wrist and started pulling me across the courtyard to a group of people sitting in the shade under a huge oak tree. There were different people sitting around doing all sorts of things, one person was sitting down jotting something in her notebook jotting down stuff in their notebook, another person was doing a Rubik cube, another person was trying to climb the tree and the person next to them was laughing at them. I felt a little jealous at how Alicia seemed to have so many friends, I was always the loner type of person.

"Hey everyone, you remember my little brother that I told you guys about who was coming?" Alicia beamed, "Yeah he's the one who's standing behind you" the person who was jotting down notes said as they didn't even lift their eyes from their book.

"Yes Daniel, now stop being so rude and actually say hi," The guy, Daniel, lifted his eyes up to look at me and grinned. "Don't mind him, he's always like that. Anyway you're Michael right, Alicia's little brother?" The person sitting next to Daniel smiled at me, I nodded, not being much of a talker anyway.

"Well then let me introduce you to everyone, considering your sister just ditched you for her best friend over there" I looked behind me to realise they were right, Alicia had run off again somewhere and left him with her group, typical Alicia.

"My names Rebecca, the guy doing the Rubik cube is Samuel and the couple over there is Tommy and Maddeline, Tommy's the show off he always tries to climb the tree but fails." "I heard that Becca" Tommy groaned and Maddeline laughed. She walked over to me and shook my hand, "Nice to meet you Michael" I shook it back and smiled, "Thanks."

I heard Alicia's voice from behind me so I turned around, only to meet eyes with a really cute guy. "So Michael did someone introduce you to the group?" She asked, "Y-yeah Rebecca did" I stuttered, why? I honestly didn't know.

"Hey my names Andre, I don't know if your sisters told you about me yet or not" The cute boy standing behind Alicia spoke. I could feel my cheeks going warm, wait was I blushing? He was very cute, I admit, maybe that's the reason I was blushing.

"I- uh my names Michael and no Alicia rarely kept in contact with me" I laughed nervousl, Andre smiled, it was a nice warm smile and suddenly I felt less tense and anxious.

"Wow thanks Alicia," He laughed and playfully smacked Alicia on the arm. "Hey it's not my fault I'm stuck with so much work."

They continued to talk for a while, Alicia like usual forgetting about my presence. I looked around, the people here were, different. Not in a bad way of course they were different, like there were people reading books, others playing sport and some singing and playing instruments.

But it wasn't like the typical group stereotypes, there were different groups of people doing different things. Not just the musical students by themselves or the sporty students looking like typical 'jocks', they were all different and unique.

Maybe I might actually fit in for once, maybe I might find people who'll accept me for who I am. I smiled at that thought.
