Living in the Dead

Chapter 4: Attacking the dead.

I woke up and decided to take a walk around the mansion because I couldn't sleep. As I walked up the broken stairs, I went into a big hallway. Their were old pictures of men and women, the lights were flickering, and bugs were crawling from the wall to the floor. I reached a room with a iron door that had about 20 keys hanging from a chain.
     I took the key chain off and tried opening the door. As I was opening the door I heard someone walking, so I hid behind a broken table. From the distance, I can see someone walking, so I automatically think that it is Samuel.
"Hello?" I say in a quiet tone.
No reply.
The foot steps stop and I peak my head around the corner of the table.
"Boo!" The mysterious person said.
"Ahh!" I screamed. "Oh thanks god it's just you."
Samuel and I both laugh.
"Why are you up this early?" He asks.
"I couldn't sleep, but I did find a secret door!" I say
     Samuel and I walk up to the door and I show him the key chain. As I am trying to open the door with the 19 key chain, I hear a groan coming from the other room. Samuel and I look around the room and nothing is their. We go back to unlocking the door, but the last keychain isn't working. Samuel is on the look out to see if anyone is their.
"Umm..Isabella? I see someone." He says
"Where?" I say in a worried tone
I look over and I see a figure limping and walking towards us. This figure starts to get faster and closer.
"Hurry! It's coming!" Samuel says
I try and try to open the door as fast as I can and I see the figure. It's face is green, the arm is bleeding, and it's hair is all over its face. As the figure gets closer it starts to attack Samuel.
"Help!" He screams
I get my key and finally open the door. "Got it!" Come here hurry!" I say
We enter the room and Samuel kicks the person away causing it to fall through a broken floor.
