Living in the Dead

Chapter 6: Finding the way out.

We have reached the end of the trail. It led us to a good sized building. It looked more new than old, and it had a pretty bridge leading to it. Samuel and I held hands as we walked to the building. When we reached the place the door had a big knocker on it. The windows were blocked with wood and the grass is dead.
     We knocked in the door and no one answered . Instead, we heard a voice coming from the intercom above us.
"Who goes there?" A random voice yells.
"Two humans. We found your journal." I say kind of worried about his response.
"Come in." The voice says lightly.
     We enter the building and their was pictures of zombies in the walls, potions and solutions on the desk, and many, many books. It looked like this person was trying to figure out something about these zombies.
"My name is Dr.Bob, and I need your help." He says to us as she starts to pick up a bottle.
"Ok" Samuel and I say.
"The bottle is filled with a solution that can make zombies humans again. If we get a zombie and put it in here we can rest it to see if it works.
"So what do we do?" I ask.
"Bring the zombie to me, but DO NOT kill it!" He yells
"What?!" I start to worry "I don't know if we can-"
Samuel interrupts me and starts to calm me down. "We can do this sir. Trust me." He says in calming tone.
     Samuel and I leave the building and follow the trail back to our town. We reached the entrance to our neighborhood and their were zombies everywhere. They were destroying cars, houses, and gardens. I even saw one at my house ruining my garden. We both snuck into Samuels house that hasn't been hurt yet, and we get some knifes from his kitchen just in case we need them.
"Their might be too many zombies" he says as he hands me my knife.
"So are we going to kill them all except one?" I question
"Exactly" He smiles as he gets his knife.
