I lay on my bed reading one of my favourite books- The Land Of The Borgs. I've read it about what, 3 times? Yeah, about that. I rushed downstairs to the smell of freshly made eggs and bread, yummy! Unfortunately, it all went downhill then when I had to find a suitor (my cousin) to "carry on the family tradition Abby" as my mother says. Ugh. Princess life sucks, if my mum finds out I use that language I'll be sent to the dungeons for an hour. Yep, she's strict and I'm in a world of trouble, disasters and most importantly, stress. My grand-mother shouts me from in the drawing room, it seems serious.
She takes a deep breathe and sternly says "Look, sweetie, I don't want to pass this on to your mother- you know what she's like- she doesn't take interest in anything like this so...here."she hands me an emerald amulet with amethyst speckles and cups my hands together so no-one sneaks in on us as usual (Joey!)
In case you were wondering, Joey's my little brother. He's annoying in everyway possible:
1.He gets away with everything and then brags about it,
2.He's screaming and shouting in my ear when I'm trying to read as he knows how much I like reading..okay I might've added a little sarcasm there but I do like reading a little- not as much as I like singing though,
And, 3.He's always intruding in my room at night to come sleep in my extra bed, I know cute right? No.
So anyway, I was just meandering around in our spacious garden- like I always do in this boring castle- when I stumbled on a little piece of tree, it looked awfully out of place but when I got up, I saw it continued; it was a bit like an easter egg trail, except, you know, with no easter eggs...(I found that quite disappointing at first until I followed the wood and noticed a cherry tree.)
It was a normal looking cherry tree except, it wasn't. Not at all. It was odd in some way but I'm not sure how but that's besides the point. My amulet shimmered and no, not like the normal glistening in the radiating sun- it actually glowed. Crazy, right? I looked infront of me to notice a what looks like a "secret" door. I say secret because I don't remember if trees have doors as we don't have real trees, ours are artifical- that's my mother's fault. Stupid clean freak, haha. The door was copper and looked ancient with spiral patterns like never seen before. They sparkled whenever I went near. With it being so late, I don't have enough time to explore so instead, I wait until tommorow and give it a rest for now...Within ten minutes of resting in my bed, I'm already heavily asleep...
