I opened my eyes as sunlight flooded into my eyes.

"Rise and shine, sleepyhead," Jacob said.

"Arrgh, close the curtain! I'm not ready for school."

"That's the thing, there is no school!" Jacob exclaimed.

I leaped out of bed into his arms with excitement. "I totally forgot!" I screamed. "SUMMER HERE WE COME!" I started laughing as Jacob spinned me around in his arms.

Jacob suddenly put me down. I looked at him, surprised by his sudden serious face. "What?" I asked. I followed Jacob's stare to the door.

"Oh Dad, hey, um we were just excited for --"

"Jacob please leave. Don't ever just intrude into her room, let alone our cabin. Next time you just enter our house without knocking, I will knock your head off." Dad said.

"Dad! Why would you say--"

"No Renesmee, he's right." Jacob kissed me on the forehead while starring at Dad.  "I'll leave you now. See you later," Jacob said. Jacob and Dad scowled at each other as he left. There was an awkward silence between Dad and I.

"Renesmee, look, you're still young. Your only 17--"

"Dad I'm soon 18." I started making my bed and choosing my clothes for the day. "I think I can make my own decisions."

"I still don't agree. I know he imprinted on you, and that you two are 'meant to be together', but I honestly think you could do better," Dad tried to explain.

"Look, we'll talk about this some other time because I actually have to get ready to go meet Jacob at La Push beach."

Dad sighed. "Just be careful, okay?"

"Don't worry Dad." I hugged him. "I love you." He hugged me back, and left the second after that.

Jacob has always been by my side no matter what. That's another reason I'm happy that it's summer, more time with Jacob! I love everyone in my family so much, but for some reason my relationship with him is something completely different. It's hard to explain, I know that it's more than friendship, but not necessarily love. It's stronger, almost like a soulmate feeling. I become more and more intrigued by it everyday that I am with him.

I was standing outside of Renesmee's room waiting for Edward. I had to comfort him after hearing what went on in there.

Edward walked out of her room and closed the door. He sighed and then walked to me. I took his hand and we started walking down the hallway to the kitchen.

"We knew this would happen Edward, don't act surprised. Ever since Jacob announced his imprint on Renesmee, we instantly knew that they would end up together. There's no point in even trying to keep them apart, so why are you? You know he is the best person for her, and you know that he will protect her with all his heart." I said.

"I know, it's just been hard seeing her all grown up already. Before we know it, she'll be 18 and then she'll marry him a few weeks later, and weeks after that she'll announce that she's pregnant," He sighed. "I just wish everything would slow down, and we could raise our little girl again," He replied.

"Me too Edward, but that's just not how it works. We need to be grateful that we even have a child in the first place."

Edward smiled down at me. "Yes, but I'm not only grateful for that, I'm grateful for you too. I'm so grateful that I could get you back after her birth." He caressed my cheek and gave me a passionate kiss on the lips.

"Ok well now I gotta go now, -- oh!" Renesmee exclaimed as she saw us kissing. "Okay well I'm just gonna go now..."

"Bye, love you," I said as she walked out the door.

Edward and I laughed as he carried me to our bedroom.

A little while later I arrived at La Push beach. I was meeting Jacob and his pack there. They all tried to go to the beach together at least once a week to relax and hang out after doing their werewolf duties.

I got out of my car and walked over to the table where Emily was sitting. "Hey Renesmee," she said.

"Hey, how are you Emily? I feel like I haven't seen you in forever," I said.

"I'm good. We need to meet up more for sure," she said. "Beautiful day, isn't it?" I smiled and gazed out into the distance. "It sure is," I replied. I could see Jacob out playing football with his pack. A few moments later I saw Jacob jogging towards me. I stood up and walked to him.

"Hey there pal," I said.

"Hey, wanna walk on the beach with me?" he asked.

"Yeah sure."

We walked right by the water. I always loved the beach. Every time I went to the beach, memories would flood back from when Jacob used to take me here when I was little. We would chase each other and run away from the waves until we were laying on the sand laughing so much that we couldn't breathe. I smiled as I thought back to those priceless memories.

The sun was starting to set. I stopped walking to watch the sunset. Jacob stopped with me to sit down on the sand together.

"The sun has always amazed me," Jacob said.

"And why is that?" I wondered.

"Well it's just above, watching us during the day, and leaving us at night to visit the other side of the world. And the amazing thing is, it is always coming back at the same time. It's been like that for billions of years, and it will continue to do so," Jacob explained.

"But you know a huge part of that is the Earth, too? It never stops rotating, it just keeps going and going." I said.

Jacob smiled and looked me in the eye. I looked back at him. We gazed into each other's eyes for a good minute before Jacob said, "I should probably take you home now. Your Dad's gonna kill me."

I laughed. "He'll have to get through me first if he wants to do that."

"Oh yeah?" Jacob teased.

I smirked and started running towards the others. Jacob started chasing me, but soon caught up to me.
