The car ride to school was fairly bumpy. Mimi had the radio set to love songs and that got me thinking, what is love? I mean, how do you know you actually love someone? Yeah, I think I like like Gaara but, how do I know it's TRUE LOVE. All I know, this can be a faze. I'm probably just obsessed with the fact he saved me.
"Mimi?" I called out for her attention. "Yeah" I looked at my sister's metallic purple died hair sitting neatly on her head. "Do you know what true love is?.... Wait no never mind your as hopeless when it comes to dating as Ms. Cortez." I said out loud. She turned the radio low and put her hand on my shoulder. "That's offensive you know.. I have some experience on the love topic." She said as she shook her shoulders. Should I really take advice from her? "Ok so what do you want to know? Um love rivals, love confessions,-" we stopped at a red light before she can finish. Soon I began to notice my sister coming to my ear, "even love making." She whispered. The feeling of heat swam across my face. "NO!" I yelled out loud, "I actually just want to know, how can you tell someone is your true love and not just an excuse it, you know?." "Who is this about?" She asked with a creepy smile. I looked down and smiled, "nobody. I'm just wondering. I mean all these songs are about people finding there true loves and then there true loves end up ripping there heart out like it was nothing to them." I mumbled.
I watched as people walked on the side walk. All of them looked tired. Mimi started, "well when mom was um... Still alive.. She told me that true love is knowing someone's weakness and not taking advantage of them. Knowing there flaws and accepting who they are. Love is when you look into someone's eyes and see their heart. Love is an unconditional commitment to an imperfect person. To love somebody it isn't just a strong feeling. It is a decision, a judgement, and a promise.... The way I see it is that you're heart will tell you. Trust me, when your In love for real, you will know. Your heart will yearn for that person's every perfection and imperfections." We pulled up at the school and as I got out, I noticed my friends. They all stood together in a group, smiling.
"Bye Mimi!" I said before walking off. I stood with Hinata, Ten Ten, Sai, INO, and Naruto as my sites drove off and my day started.
Mimi's POV________
"You hear that mom and dad? (Y/n) thinks she's in love. Her first love..." I said as I drove home.
My sister is gonna be moving out and getting married before I can take a break. "Maybe I should give her the note.. No they said to wait for her eighteenth."
I'm glad she's happy. After what happened so many years ago, she deserves to be loved and be happy. It still makes me upset, feeling useless to protect her from pain. That's why I'm here on earth, to protect her and make sure she is happy. "That's all I can ask for.... Her happiness"
(Y/n) POV_______
"Misa don't take my cookies, Mimi made these for me!" I whined as I snatched my bag out of her hands. She let a smirk out and came to my ear, "come on just let me have a bite." "Get away from me." I said swatting her away like a pesky fly. "You're so mean to me." She said, pouting.
"Hey (y/n), Gaara told me that your sister wanted to bring us to a beach resort thing." Temari said as she smoothly sat down and smiled. I looked at her and smiled, giving her a friendly greet, "yeah we have 5 tickets. I think you three should come. I mean are families are going through the same thing more or less." "Well we will be honored to go with you. It will be fun to get to know your sister." She said with a plastered smile. "Yeah we will be leaving when summer break comes around next week. Mimi will be driving.. Tickets are for the water park and theme park." I explained. "Hey what about me?" The sound of Misa's voice squeaked out. I handed her my bag of cookies and smiled with a sweat drop forming on my forehead.
*spongebob narrator voice* (Later)
I sat down in my seat next to Gaara's desk as everyone came in. I can point out a few people, unlike when I first came here. I didn't know anyone except for Gaara and I was to scared to speak to him anyway.
"Hey (y/n)" I heard someone with an obnoxiously loud voice yell. I turned to see Naruto Uzumaki. "Wassup homie." I said laughing. "You're a nut" he said, laughing. Now look at me. I have fun friends, a panda, and my sister is taking me to the ocean with my friends.
"Hello I'm your substitute for the day." A feminine voice said. She sounded oddly familiar but her face is nothing I can remember. "Hey (y/n)" I heard Gaara say as he took a seat next to the emergency exit window. I smiled at him. He just stared out the window.
Despite all the things me and my sister went through, it seems that the world has finally noticed us. It finally noticed how horrible it just treated us. It noticed that we needed the break.
Never have I ever imagined myself having friends, I never imagined smiling this truly, i never imagined meeting anyone like Gaara, Konkuro, and Temari. I decided my wish...
I put a grip onto the charm of the one-tail and smiled.
"I want this to stay forever." I whispered with a planted smile and closed eyes. I want this feeling, these friends, my smile;with me forever. Forever.. The wish I want... "I wish that this will be forever"
