chapter ° 7

At home Rebecca kept dreaming about Jake the whole night , imagining any possibility of her being with him .
But nothing seemed to be right.

"Should I start seeing a shrink?
I really think I'm in a serious trouble."

She fell asleep , and got awakened by her phone alarm , she had to go to the hospital , it's been a while since she didn't visit Lindsey .
She's got prepared, and directly left the house .

At hospital, Becca has sat down by Lindsey's side , brushed her hair , and said : " I know you can hear me , it is scientifically proven . I hope you're doing well ! I'm really glad that you're seeing your sister , I wish I could too ... I mean we've been working on this meeting for 10 years, at least you're seeing her now , so it was really worth it .
And because of her , and our tries to meet her , I've met Jake , I've met my soulmate , and guess what ... he's just a soul.
I miss you sweetie, isn't it enough now ! Aren't you going to wake up? Will you leave me alone after all ? "
She couldn't handle it but found her self crying over Lindsey's face . She kissed her on her forehead and left the hospital .

On her way getting back home , she had a company , Jake was holding her hand while she was walking .

Both of them didn't want to talk , so they've kept walking silently to the door of her apartment.

And while she were preparing something to eat , Jake has disappeared , well! at least that's what she thought .

Rebecca has grabbed her laptop and googled , how to help a spirit to cross over?

" it is known that spirits will find their way to the next world, by finding someone who can hear them , or by taking revenge from the person who killed them , or just by trusting someone enough to leave a message for a loved one with , "
That's what she planned to do , trying to help Jake crossing over to the next world ,"

" this fast ? You wanna get rid of me already "

"Oh Jake i didn't know that you're still here ! "

"I'm still here , and you have to explain this for me ."

" No ! It's not like this , don't get me wrong please ! " said Rebecca.

" you know what's the problem with you mortals ? it's the limited life span. Rush, rush,rush , a much less than it has to take to get things done. I'm quite disappointed now actually, "

" What do you mean ? "

Laughed jake and said : " you really thought ,I came here to help you and your best friend ? "

" Well ! That's what I thought , you didn't ? "

"Did you really thought , I've chosen you between all of the girls in this world by accident? Or coincidence? "
" do ya ? "

"Euh ! How am I supposed to guess  ? "

" Well let me tell you, those in the spirit world have been watching you all over the years , sniffing around , and looking for more than a way to communicate with them, they liked your ambition , "

" and ? "

" we will be honored if we use this beautiful body ( which is yours ofcourse ) as a gate into this world . "

" Are you serious? What the hell are you talking about? "

" I'm dead serious, LITERALLY. "

" I will never let you do this , whatever it was !be sure . OVER MY DEAD BODY "

" Oh no honey! We need you alive, if we wanted a dead body we would get some from any cemetery around, fresh and brand new .. but no! We need you alive. There's only few people in this world who have this supernatural ability to communicate with spirits, and you've been blessed from God , hahaha. "Evilly laughed .

" I SAID NO ! "

"Say anything you want , it's not up to you from now on . Plus , we have your friend Lindsey , she's been our guest for so long , we're getting bored of her already. Ouh By the way, she misses you so much . "

" Omg what did you do to her ? Please don't hurt her ," cried Rebecca.

" Nah , don't worry! We don't need her anyway, "
Laughed jake and disappeared again .

Rebecca has cried her heart off all the night , on a hand there was Lindsey her friend in danger , on the other hand , she felt so stupid because she fell in love with a  ghost , a Bastard ghost .
