I left the library in a hurry. I knew that I was running out of time so I had to find information fast! I ran the whole way home running stair past Sarah’s house, hoping that she hadn’t left her room early because she got bored.
I rummaged through all of the books that I could find when I got home. Nothing came up about the mirror. I searched the Internet and suddenly I found it. The story that I had been looking for, the story of what had happened to Mary and the mirror.
After the murder of the woman named Mary, police have found no solid evidence of who the killer could be. Police chief says that he believes that her eyes had been cut with precision and could have been done by someone with medical experience. Unfortunately they have been no other leads and due to no solid evidence the case has been closed. The mirror and all other positions that were found in the room have been given back to Mary’s family.
Now that I though about it, why wouldn’t they have just given the mirror back to her family. But she lived in a whole other state, why would she be here? And how could she move from mirror to mirror?
I looked through some old myths about Mary and everyone had said they when she died the mirror took her soul. That’s a whole other play on words when you think of the mirror can see your soul. So if Mary’s soul was stuck in the mirror maybe she could just change mirrors whenever she liked, that could be the reason why she could be everywhere, she’s not bound to on mirror. Now the only thing left is to find where the first mirror actually is.
After hours of searching the internet I found the mirror. It had just been sold to an antique shop… down the street? I guess that makes sense since she doesn’t have to go very far. A cool brush of air swept past the back of my neck making me shiver. I knew I was onto her, now how to kill her?
As I walked towards the antique shop I realized I was running out of time. Sarah was going to walk out into the open and she didn’t care is Mary killed her because she didn’t want to stay stuck in a room for the rest of her life. I didn’t blame her but I told her that I would fix the problem and she never listens.
I walked into the antique shop and Rob was at the register. He was weird and never talked to anyone but I knew that he was my only hope.
“Hi Rob”
“Oh Hi”
“I’m looking for a mirror” I realized it was a stupid thing to say as there wear heaps of mirrors in the shop.
“Okay, which one?”
“I’ll know it when I see it.”
“Fine, take a look around if you need any help just ask.” He said in a boring tone.
“Okay”
“Just don’t touch anything, you might break it.”
“What if I need to look at some that are behind others?”
“I’ll move them for you”
I realized why I always thought that Rob was weird. He stared at me until I agreed not to touch anything. I really hoped that the mirror wasn’t behind anything.
I started to walk around the room. I noticed some small mirrors in the corner but nothing. The old man that owns the shop walked out of the back room and stared at me. He knew something but I never wanted to ask. He gave off the creepy vibe. The old man asked if anyone was in the shop and I didn’t answer. He walked out of the store asking Rob to come with him and said he was locking up early today. I could see Rob out the window trying to explain that I was in here.
