"So, did you see the woman do anything to the store owner?" Saratobi asked rubbing his chin.

"No sir, I was so frightened by her appearance that I ran without looking back. I'm not sure what she did afterwards. Hopefully the police were able to obtain her." Itachi,who was in the corner of the room shuttered at the thought.

"Well it'd be wrong to just start attacking without any real evidence of her being hostile. It's definitely a good thing you told me though, I thank you for that." The cowardice man was taken by surprise at the hokage's words.

"Wait, you mean you actually believe me?"

"Why of course, I have no reason not to. If we get any more reports likes this we'll send people to handle it."

"Thank you so much for your time lord hokage." Good byes were exchanged and the man left the room. Itachi was next to stand up to the hokage's desk.

"Now since you haven't left I can only assume you need something. What can I do for you?"

"It's about the girl. I'd like to be the one to handle the situation when the time comes."

"May I ask why you would show interest?"

"There's a chance I may have spoken to her before." Saratobi raised an eyebrow.

"On what terms?"

"As strangers..." Itachi said plainly. He wasn't sure if it could be considered a lie or not.

"I see...did she seem like the type of person that would cause trouble?"

"All I know is that she's different."

"Well if you really want to be the one to track her down that's fine with me, but if any anbu missions come up, you know priority."

"Understood."

It was early, the sun was still making it's way to the sky. You gathered your things and peeked outside.

"Its clear...for now at least. Better get moving." You pulled your hood over your head as you walked out. Though you'd never admit it, you were afraid. The thought of the shadow man that was in your dreams sent shivers down your spine.

"She was a monster! She killed seven officers, the store owner, and left Genji and I paralyzed..."

"A shame the rookie's first job had to be so brutal..."

"I know, told him it'd be better if he took some time off before coming back to work."

"This woman is disturbing peace in our village, on top of that she's taken innocent lives. She must be stopped, the people she's slaughtered must be avenged!"

"But sir, I think this is out of our hands."

"Give a full report to your chief on what happened here when you're able to move. But heed this warning: no matter what you do or how many people you throw at me, you can't kill me, nor can you arrest me. But there is something everyone could try to do in order for me to not...do this again."

"Izowa what are you thinking about?"

"The girl said there's something everyone could try to do to stop her but, I'm not sure what."

"Well you figure it out, in the mean time I'll send notice to people in the village to watch out for this monster."
