I look through the windshield of my rusty blue truck as I turn the street and pull into a long driveway.

A small house that clearly wasn't built anytime recently looms ahead of me. It looks a little run down and needs new paint, but it's still beautiful. The detail carved into the side of the house is breathtaking. An intricate pattern of squiggles and dots cover most of the house. The light yellow paint is faded from the sun after being immersed in it for too many years There is a forest surrounding the house and a feeling of serenity invades my senses.

This is my new house.

I step inside and look around.

The living room is painted a simple beige color. There is a small sofa on one side of the room and a television hung on the wall opposite of it. I walk over and open the windows. It's the middle of April and the air outside feels amazing. The grass is beginning to turn the shade of green that I adore. The dark green trees and light green grass create a perfect contrast.

I chose this location because of its serenity. Living in the middle of a forest may seem creepy to some people, but not me. Living in a big city has never seemed appealing. Who would want to wake up every morning to the sound of blaring car horns belonging to people who think it will make traffic move faster.

This house has a single bedroom which is painted a shade of light blue. It just so happens to be my favorite color. On the far side of the room there is a door leading outside to a balcony. I walk over and step outside, enjoying the silence. I don't have much time to enjoy it before I hear a sound come from behind me.

On the other side of the room which was obscured from my vision when I first entered, is someone -- something sitting on the bed.
