Killian sat down at his table, and looked around for Emma. There were too many blondes if you'd asked him. He scanned the room until he saw his blonde. He smiled as he saw her talking to another woman and a man. The man had his arm around the woman's waist, so Killian wasn't jealous. He obviously had a woman of his own. As the trumpets blared, waiters and waitresses grabbed menus and rushed them to guests. He followed Emma with his eyes as she walked over to his table.

"What do you want, Killian?" She asked with a tired sigh.

"You alright?" He asked her, taking her hand and brushing kisses to it.

"Yeah, it's just been a long day."

"You're still coming to my cabin, right?"

"If you still want me over."

"Of course I do."

"So what do you want to eat?"

"Are you on the menu?" He raised his eyebrow at her and she blushed bright red. She covered her face and he laughed. "Steak and potatoes will be fine." After she had calmed down, she removed her hands and nodded, then disappeared into the kitchen. After the food was finished, she was back out to bring him the plate. He winked at her and watched her walk away. It wasn't until 9:00 when she knocked on his door. He rushed to it and opened it, and she stumbled in. Everything hurt and all she wanted to do was go to bed. "Lay down, love," he said.

"If I do, I'll fall asleep."

"What's the problem with that? I'll get you up in the morning."

"Are you sure?"

"Absolutely." He led her into the bedroom and she laid down. He covered her up with the blanket and brushed her hair back. He got down on his knees beside the bed and continued to brush his hand over her hair. "You are so beautiful, Swan." He kissed her head and left the room, unaware that she was still awake. Emma wanted to go after him, but her limbs didn't want to move. She fell asleep and dreamt of a life where she didn't have to work for Neal and on this ship. A life where she could be happy, with Killian. She woke up about an hour later with something pressed against her back. Wet kisses were being placed on her back and shoulder. "Sorry, love. I didn't mean to wake you," Killian said. He moved her sleeve back up into place.

Emma sat up and pushed her hair back. "It's fine. I should get going anyway."

"Oh no, sweetheart." He propped himself up on his elbow and leaned his head on her arm. "Stay, please?"

"Killian, I really have to go. I'm going to get in a lot of trouble."

"I'll deal with them." She sighed and he pulled her down with him. Her head laid on his chest. He ran his fingers through her hair. "Go back to sleep, love."

"I have to go," she declared. "You have no idea how much I want to stay here."

"Then stay. You'll be fine here."

"Okay." Emma was too tired to argue with him. She yawned and wrapped her arm around his waist.

When Killian woke up the next morning, he was upset to find it that he was alone. He got dressed for breakfast and went down to the dining hall. A few people were already there, digging through the buffet. He put some food onto his plate, and looked around for Emma. Her presence was definitely missed. She made him smile in the way he hadn't since his first girlfriend. He knew that his feelings were getting stronger more and more everyday. He loved to see Emma smile. He loved to hear her laugh, and he loved it even more because he knew he was the one causing her happiness. Unfortunately, he didn't get to see her at all at breakfast, so he wasn't too happy about that. He walked along the deck, looking for her. As he rounded a corner, he heard her familiar voice. She was arguing with someone that he didn't recognize.

"Look, all I'm saying is that you, a maid, don't need to be in the first class section of the ship at such late hours," the man's voice informed.

"I understand," Emma said. "I-It won't happen again."

"It better not," the man spoke before footsteps walked away.

Killian came up behind her and leaned on the wall, crossing his arms over his chest. She turned around and faced him. "You didn't tell him that you were there because of me," he began.

"Why would I? People don't need to know you are spending your nights with a maid. I think it would be best if you just left me alone. Just speaking to each other on deck is a hazard."

"You think I'm embarrassed to be seen with you? Emma, I ate with you with other people around."

"That's because I was dressed up. The only people who knew who I really was, were the other butlers."

"I don't care that other people will find out that I like you."

"It's not going to look too good when your fiancee finds out about you and me. It's time to let go of what we have. I know what I said earlier, but you need to stop looking out for me and I have to stop visiting you after work hours. We need to go our separate ways."

"No." Tears welled in his eyes at the thought of leaving her. "I won't lose you."

"Don't you get it? I'm already lost!"

"Then I will find you again. I will always find you." He grabbed her hand and kissed it. "You may think that we are over, but I will tell you, Emma Swan, that I won't leave you alone." He tugged her closer so her body was flush against his. He tucked a strand of hair out of her face and placed it behind her ear. "I'll have dinner brought to my room tomorrow. The door will be unlocked so you can come right in. We will go on a date and get to know each other better."

She hesitantly nodded. "Alright, fine." 'But only as friends,' she added in her mind.
