Killian watched as Cole tried to swim and make it back onto the ship, but he couldn't. Soon, the cold started to seep into his bones and Cole began sinking. The man that Killian once loved with all his heart was now sinking as the man that he wanted nothing to do with. His whole life had been a lie and everything became clear just because of one woman.

Emma

Killian turned to David who had a shocked expression on his face. "Where is Emma?"

David looked up and blinked rapidly a few times. "She's in the brig."

"What? Why?"

"She was framed for a crime, I think."

"Where is the brig?"

"On the opposite side of the servants section. I don't have a key to get her out though, but we are trying everything that we can."

"It's fine. She just needs to know that I'm coming for her." Killian ran down the steps in search of the ship's brig. He went in many hallways, and it all started to look exactly the same. The ship became a labyrinth as he tried to find the room that held his beloved Swan. Finally stumbling into a room with a single light, he looked through the darkness and saw a cell door. Inside, the moonlight seeped through the window, but he could see a head with golden hair. She barely moved. Barely breathed. "Swan?" He moved up to the door and held onto the bars. Emma slowly woke up to his voice, but she knew it was just in her head. He didn't know where she was. She flipped onto her stomach and pulled the blanket up over her head, and shivered underneath of it. "Emma!"

This time she sat up and saw him. Her eyes were still blurry with sleep. "No. I-I know I feel guilty, but I can't be hallucinating too."

"Love, you aren't hallucinating. I'm really here, and I'm going to get you out of here." Emma stood up and walked over the cell door. She leaned against the cold bars and Killian's hands found themselves up on her cheeks. "You're bloody freezing!"

"I know." Her teeth chattered. Tears starting to stream down her face as she leaned as far as she could and kissed him senseless. He held her as tightly as he could. His fingers burying in her hair. When they pulled back, she breathed heavily. "How are you here?"

"I pushed Cole overboard and came down here to get you out."

"Why did you come after me?"

"When there is a damsel in distress, then I'm on the spot." He smirked but went back to kissing her.

"I don't care. I'm just glad you're here." She smiled.

He pulled back and licked his lips. "I'm going to find a security officer to let you out. I'm the closest thing to Cole, and these people should let you out if I drop the charges." He headed for the door but Emma called out for him.

"Killian?"

He turned around and walked back to her. "What is it, sweetheart?"

"I just wanted to tell you-" She had to cut herself off.

"Tell me what?" He raised an eyebrow at her. The first "I love you" he would hear from her herself.

"I... Just wanted to thank you. For helping me."

His heart sunk, but he knew that this was the closest thing to an "I love you" from her. "Of course. It's all in a day's work for a hero."

He pecked her lips once more and ran above deck to find a security officer. Emma sat back on the bunk. She wrapped the blankets around her body again, but could still feel where his fingertips had been from their kiss. She silently cursed herself for not telling him that she loved him. The words had been on the tip of her tongue, but it didn't matter. He knew. Right? After a few hours of waiting anxiously, Emma started to wonder if Killian had forgotten about her. Her eyes were growing heavier and heavier with each passing second, and she wasn't sure how much longer she could be awake for. She laid down, and was soon surrounded in darkness as she drifted off into a deep sleep.

Killian ran up to a security officer that was talking with another passenger. He tapped the man on the shoulder and he turned around. He pointed his finger up at Killian. "You are Cole Jones' son. Killian."

"Aye, and I want you to release Emma Swan."

The officer chuckled. "I'd love to, but there's a lot of paperwork that needs to be signed and you would have to sign it to legally drop the charges."

"Fine. Let's go."

"I'm Graham Humbert by the way. It's a shame what happened to Emma. I know she would never try to steal off of someone. She's a giver."

"How do you know so much about her?"

"We've been friends since she started working here. My partner had to take her to the brig. I couldn't do that to a friend." As they walked into an office, Graham handed Killian a bunch of papers.

Killian sat down and read through them. It took a lot of time, but he wanted to make sure he wasn't giving anything away in a deal that was written in the fine print. He signed his name in the final signature box and stood up. Graham messed around with some keys and finally grabbed one. He led Killian back to the brig and unlocked the cell.

"Do you want to come back for her in the morning when she is awake?" Graham asked.

"No. I'll take her to my room now." Killian went in and picked Emma up bridal style. The blankets fell to the floor and he was taken back by the cold temperature of her skin. She curled her body into his, seeking his warmth. He maneuvered her up to his room in the first class section and skillfully unlocked the door without waking her up. He laid her down on the bed and covered her up. She moved into a ball, trying to save whatever body heat she had left. He laid against her back and wrapped his arm around her. Emma turned over and cuddled his chest. Killian kissed her temple. "I love you, Emma Swan."
