I am frozen like ice when Effie calls, "Come up!  Don't be shy Ms. Larzian!"  I peek around, as if looking for another girl by the same name, but there isn't.  I cautiously walk to the stage.  I was so happy for my mom to be my mom.

She calls for me, "That's my child!  There has been a mistake!"  The guards rush to her side.

"Come with us miss," a guard says.  They grab her hand and guide her.  She is now flailing around.

"My baby girl!  I love you!" she screams.  Tears fly down her face like speeding torpedos.  "I love you..."

Katniss looks worried, but not enough to do anything.  Emory stands by her side wih Peeta.  Gradon looks almost like my mother.

"I think she is telling the truth, she looks like my friend Evangeline," he whispered.  "Please."

"I know you are nervous but there is nothing going on.  I will keep my eye on it, like I kept my eye on... on..." she stutters.  "You know what I mean."

"Now for the gentlemen!" she says in a perky manner.  In goes her hand, out comes a small paper with a name on it.  She unfolds it and speaks the name, "Rory Gemson."  Whispers arise all around.  "Rory, please come up!" she crows again.

Up comes Rory, but no one looks at him.  All eyes are peering at an odd silouette.  There stands the one person that always brings hope.  Haymitch Abernathy.

"Couldn't miss this, sweetheart," he said with a smirk.

Then everything ended after speeches, tears, and goodbyes.

Evangeline never got to stay goodbye to her mom.
