That Girl

Alex's POV:

"Alex Man, are you sure you want to go out tonight? I mean you're still upset over that girl.." Said Jack

I paused from looking out the window at passing cars and turned to my friend, Jack, who was seated next to me in the back of the uber.

"Jack I've told you a thousand times.. I am over Sandy. She's nothing to me." I firmly stated.

After all, I needed to take my mind off things.

"Okay man.." Jack stated slowly.

We made small talk on the way about tour highlights and the band until our uber came to a stop and we were outside a small bar.

"We're going to be in this town for just a few more days until tour resumes. Try not the break hearts babe." Jack Joked.

"Ya right" I said. But I had my mind on different things.

"Come on, you need to get out of your mood. I'll buy you a drink to get your mind off of it." Jack enthused.

"Two please!" I yelled.

The night had just begun.

Before I knew it I was totally drunk and couldn't control myself. I was falling around on the dance floor with this random girl.

She was blonde and had a rather nice ass.

I suddenly got really dizzy and bumped into a young maybe 20 year old dark haired girl.

She saw me struggling and pulled me to the side.

"Bartender Water please!" She said calmly.

"What's your problem?! I was having a good time with her! Are you just naturally a dick or do you just like ruining people's nights?" I slurred.

She grabbed the water from the bartender and completely ignored me.

"Hello?! What's your deal?" I asked

The dark haired stranger turned around with my water.

She looked up and made eye contact with me.

I hadn't looked at the girl but as soon as I did I wish I could have taken it back.

She was beautiful.

She stared at me with her dark eyes and I felt more sober then I had since we had arrived.

"Oh Uhm sorry. I'm sorry... Uh hi I'm Alex?"

What was I doing? I had always been smooth with girls but I couldn't think with this one.

"Hello," the girl said "I'm Lainey or Lain." She shyly stated handing me the cool cup of water.

I looked down at the water in my hand and took a slow sip. Slightly embarrassed to have been rude to such a gentle person.

"Do you have anyone here with you that I could call?" She asked.

"Well my buddy was here but I think I saw him slip out with a brunette not to long ago.." I replied.

"Oh, well would you like a ride back to your place? I haven't been drinking. My friend dragged me here to go dancing, Or would you rather stay?" She calmly asked.
