The ultimate twist of Molly Jones life

Chapter 5

.. She couldn't believe her eyes ,the book said that if the necklace glowed purple you are in the presence of a hunter and
that the brighter it glows the stronger the hunter. Molly sat down at a table and continued to read, it said that hunters are the newest generation of vampire slayers. She could feel her eyes getting wider as she continued to read. The book continued to say that every time a hunter kills a vampire there powers get stronger. They're strong and fast. There senses are heightened, but the twist is that every hunter has their own unique power. It can be anything from reading minds to teleportation and there is no way of knowing unless you see it. Molly was so ingrossed in the book that she didn't even notice she was late for work. She quickly put the book back and ran out of the library and again ran straight to the club. This time she rushed around getting set up. She just finished when the door opened . Nate walked in and said " wow you cleaned up fast ". Molly looked at him for the first time knowing what he was, "fast, no it took me awhile ". He looked at her with a mocking look, "oh really because I only left twenty minutes ago ". Molly could feel her cheeks getting redder and redder until he finally broke the silence with a laugh . It was the first time she had seen him laugh, it wasn't the laugh of a killer or someone that was at all evil. She kind of liked his laugh, but then she reminded herself what he was and snapped out of her trance. " Ok I lied I only got here ten minutes ago ", Molly said. Nate let out an even bigger laugh. This time Molly couldn't help but laugh too, they were both laughing so hard they didn't even notice a customer entering until she said "hello is this place open yet ?" Nate and Molly immediately stopped laughing and Molly said "  yes sorry we didn't notice you there come in ". She shot Nate a look of relief and showed the lady to her table and said " sorry it's not busy but it will pick up but since you're the first customer the first round is on us. Again Molly worked in till ten o'clock and called a cab home. Except this time she wasn't that tired, but she went to bed anyway because she figured she would get up early and pick up that book before work tomorrow. She awoke in the morning with a good feeling. She might aswell of skipped to the library. However when she got there the book was gone so that took her mood down a peg. If she was going to find out more about hunters,  she was going to have to ask one and that one had to be Nate. She didn't have to work in till four and it was only nine fifteen, so she phoned her brother and arranged to meet up for dinner at a cafe on the outskirts of the city. She figured she would stay and read a little more then go get breakfast, Maybe do some shopping then go meet him. So that's exactly what she did. When she was shopping she got a new diary and a new dress, then she got a taxi to the cafe were she was meeting jake. As soon as he seen her his face lit up and He ran to her, he scooped her up in his arms and give her the biggest hug ever. They spent half an hour catching up as if it had been forever since they'd last seen each other. Then jake said, " so there is one thing I've been meaning to tell you ". Molly could see it was important, "what is it jake?" Jake started to smile, "I'm engaged!"...
