Solitude
I'm alone not because I don't have an option but because I choose to.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying companionship is bad,
I'm just saying it's not my style.
And of course I remember the creation story, woman from man's ribs
But guess what, Adam and Eve never went through puberty.
Again, I'm not saying I can't handle the stress of being a teenager and living like a teenager,
But I'm saying I love to be left alone.
While crows fly in groups, eagles fly alone.
Again, I'm not saying I'm the eagle if we were all winged creatures but I'm hoping I'd be someday.
But what I am saying is I am not and will never be a crow.
A ring of friends who you think care about you, but never.
A second away your meal is theirs,
A minute away your woman signs off.
An hour away and your life story is likened to that of Julius Caesar.
But again don't get me wrong,
the worst solitude is to be destitute of friendship.
