You and your favorite tall skeleton Papyrus where having a lovely cooking date as he called it were you both help each other make wonderful pasta dishes.
Since Monsters rose to the surface your life has been wonderful. Living in a apartment complex alone is very quiet and lonely when no one ever pays you a visit. Since the Skeleton brothers moved next door there hasn't been a dull day yet.
You became with Papyrus in the supermarket. You had planned to make a lovely pasta dish, spaghetti, one of your childhood favorites. The store had remodeled and they where dumb enough to place the noodles you needed on a shelf you couldn't reach. You ended up climbing the shelves which led to you falling once you got what you needed, luckily there was a nice skeleton who had witnessed your fall and caught you before you hit the ground. He had also notice your choice in noodles and immediately declared you two pasta loving friends. Thanks to him you got to meet all kinds of lovely monsters whom are now your dear friends including the cute savior of monster kind named Frisk.
There was never a day you didn't see the cute tall skeleton and each time your heart grew fonder and fonder of him. You could never tell him how you really felt because he saw you as a close friend. You knew he wouldn't mind if you did tell him however you were wanting him to feel the same. Instead of declaring how much you adore the skeleton you ended up inviting him to another cooking pasta date which Papyrus was more than happy to come over and cook pasta.
Sans had already come clean to you that he was already aware of how you felt towards his brother. You were red in the face and embarrassed that Sans even knew in the 1st place, however at the same time not surprised. Sans loves his brother and wants to protect and make him happy which to you was wonderful that Papyrus had a loving brother like Sans. Sans had told you that he could see your soul shine and bounce more often around his brother than others, that and it gave off a smell that only souls give off when they are in love with someone. On mention of the L word you couldn't help but turn red and cover your face. He of course laughed. He said to just come out with it but you are too nervous to even try and when you do it turns out like the situation you are in now.
You and Papyrus are humming a song together which you assumed he clarified before that it was his "theme song" while you cooked a pasta dish Lasagna . Papyrus only knew how to cook one kind of pasta and it wasn't necessarily "edible" so you have decided to teach him how to make different kinds of pasta dishes and make them edible. Sans still thanks you for it every time papyrus come home with a pasta dish he learned to make from you. Usually he comes along with Papyrus when you invite him to come over and cook but today he's decided to stay home and nap. Already Papyrus has at least called him a Lazy Bones twice.
You start to reach for the cheese you need however Papyrus reaches for the same thing and you end up bumping your hands together which makes you both flinch away in a awkward blushing mess. Papyrus has been really quiet today aside from the few lazy bones comments he has made towards Sans. He cant make eye contact with you and he hasn't said a word to you. It makes you think you've done something wrong but maybe he has something on his mind as well?
You open your mouth to say something but your mouth suddenly feels really dry. Sighing you close your eyes and take a deep breath "Is there something the matter Papyrus? You've been oddly silent today." You look at him with a small blush on your cheeks, he avoids eye contact and looks away pretending the cheese is more interesting "OH UM N-NOTHING REALLY I JUST HAVE BEEN FEELING VERY WEIRD TODAY IS ALL." Concerned you place the back of your hand on his skull "Do you not feel good? It doesn't feel like you have a fever. Can skeletons even get fevers?" The noticeable blush on Papyrus's cheek bones darken a bit "I-ITS NOT A FEELING OF HEAT TO MY HEAD. M-MORE SO HERE" He nervously takes your hand and places it on his chest. You can feel the beating of his soul slowly begin to speed up upon your touch. "IM UNSURE OF WHAT IT MEANS (Y/N) BUT IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN IM AROUND YOU." He gasps "MAYBE IM STARTING TO GET ALLERGIC FROM YOU! OH NO! I DON'T WANT TO BE ALLERGIC TO YOU! BUT THEN AGAIN I HAVEN'T SNEEZED AND ITS MORE OF A WARM FEELING AND I GET REALLY NERVOUS. DO YOU PERHAPS KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME (Y/N)?" A warm smile made its way on your face as your cheeks turn a bright red "Yes I do Papyrus, the same thing happens to me too." He gasps again "YOU HAVE THIS ILLNESS TOO?! OH NO YOU CAUGHT IT FROM ME!" You lightly laugh nervously "N-no its not something bad Papyrus" This time he makes eye contact with you "THEN WHAT IS IT?" You feel his eyes on you, you want to look away from his eyes but you can't. His Innocent gaze has caught you and you both end up staring into each others eyes for a moment before he speaks first in a soft tone that you have never heard before "...You know (Y/n) I don't know if you noticed but i have. You have the most beautiful eyes i have ever seen on a human." realizing what he said his skull flourishes in a blush and you blush as well. Taking a deep breath you decide now is the time "Papyrus.." you speak his name softly as you take your hand and place it in his "There is something I've been wanting to tell you for a while now but I've been too shy to really say anything but i feel as though now is the time to say it." You both lean in and you end up whispering it to him "I..I love you Papyrus." You did it. You finally said it but now you are a little scared and end up shutting your eyes closed upon saying it. You didn't want to look at him, you could tell he felt the same but you were afraid to look at his reaction. Would he accept it? Does he really really feel the same? Suddenly you feel yourself being lifted and open your eyes, by the time you open them your lips are met with Papyrus's skeleton ones. He had lifted you up for a kiss. You close your eyes again and wrap your arms around him. Your mind and soul felt like it was bursting like fireworks. You felt alive and so happy.
You both made-out for a while until you both realize that you had burnt the pasta dish you where making and ended up laughing about it. Papyrus hugged you and whispered in your ear "I love you too (Y/n)."
On the other side of the wall Sans had heard everything and he made a promise to never let it go. His brother had found someone wonderful and he knew if he tells you both that he heard everything through the wall last night it would make the both of you blush as red as spaghetti sauce.
