Julie's P.O.V

It was one of those days. I frowned upon everything I saw even my cupcake of a boyfriend. There was one though which even I couldn't look at without the smallest glint of happiness appearing on my face. He was the new boy on campus, and my heart jumped every time our eyes met. I couldn't cheat on my boyfriend so I kept my distance for a good three months. That entire practice would all end today.

"Everyone, look at the person at the person right of you, and if you're at the end look at your left." the teacher announced.

I looked to the left, and gulped. It was the new boy with those beautiful eyes, and those striking brown eyes were blaring back at my own.

"This person will be your lab partner for the rest of the year." an eruption of grunts and silent yay's filled the room.

I was the only one to have a silent scream of despair, but hid it with a smile.

"Hi, I'm Dylan." his hand reached out for mine.

"H-Hey, I'm Julie, and you're new." I shook his hand smiling.

He laughed, "Yeah, I've been getting that alot lately."

I laughed as well, He's funny too...

The teacher coughed noting that everyone should settle down, "You're project will be to look up information about mythology. Pick one and write a four paged paper about it. It's due..Friday." he announced as the bell rang.

My mouth almost dropped, that's two days away. Dude, this guy was insane. I looked at Dylan, but he looked completely calm, actually. Before he could strike up conversation, I took this opportunity to leave. I could do it by myself. I couldn't be alone with him. Xander would freak, and I would totally not be able to control myself.

I reached my locker, eventually. As I opened it, it was being shut closed to reveal Dylan standing there with a smirk on his beautiful face. I clenched my books to my chest hoping to keep my heart from jumping out of it.

"Can I come over to work on the project?" he asked.

"T-Today?" I stuttered hoping he didn't notice the effect he had on me.

"Yeah, if Xander doesn't mind." Dylan said sarcastically.

Did he just suggest that I had to get permission from Xander? "I doesn't matter what he says. Meet me by my Jeep after school." I said confidently and immediately regretted it afterward. Damn you pride!

"Hm? Alright then..." he looked at me and I waited for him to leave but apparently he didn't have any attention of doing so.

I shook my head and began opening my locker again, "What?" I asked.

"It's ashame.." he started.

I grabbed all of my books and closed my locker and glared at Dylan, "Ashame that..." I said really trying not be rude.

"It's ashame that you're dating Xander." he said smiling at me. He started to walk away, but I quickly closed my locker and followed him.

"What do you mean!?" I yelled a bit over the big, noisy crowd.

"I mean, that he's not good enough for someone like you,"

"Respect our relationship, please." I said in warning tone.

"Why do I have to do something that you don't do?" Dylan asked raising an eyebrow at me.

"Well, I–" I hesitated. I shook my head and jumped a bit to an arm wrapped around my shoulder.
