Caught In The Rain

Chilled's POV

Late that night, Ze and I met at our spot out on the grass. He curled up under my arm and I hugged him. "It feels like we're in high school again. Sneaking out without the parents knowing." I commented. "I never did that." he replied back. "Really? Never?" He shook his head. "We always moved around a lot after my dad left. I guess I never got the chance." "You haven't lived. But this. This is living". He snuggled closer to me and we laid down on the grass. "I never thought life could be like this. I never thought I could be like this." I said. "Like what? An adult?" Ze asked. "No. Free." I sighed and looked at him. "Your nose is red." He nodded. "Yeah. It almost always is." "Well I think it's cute." I noticed his cheeks turn red. "Smells like rain." he pointed out. A drop of rain fell on my forehead. "Feels like rain." It then started raining; softly at first, then it started pouring. "You don't think GaLm and Smarty will notice." I shouted over the rain. "What does it matter? We'll be ok." Ze replied. I pulled him close to me and we started dancing. He laughed as I twirled him around, water whipping from his hair. "Anthony, I'm starting to get cold." he said a little while later, shivering. "Do you want to go inside?" He nodded. I wrapped my arms around him and we walked inside. He was still shivering when we reached his room. "Here." I held him close to give him some if my body heat. He laid his head on my shoulder. A second later, GaLm opened the door. In less than a millisecond, Ze pushed me away. "Hey guys. What're you doing out here. And why are you guys wet?" "We got caught out in the rain." "Oh, ok. I'm going back to bed. Don't stay up too late. We have school tomorrow." He shut the door and left the two of us out in the hall. "He's right. We should probably get to bed." Steven shivered again as he stood outside his door, his hair dripping slightly onto his back. "Go dry off and curl up under a blanket. I don't want you getting pneumonia on me," I ordered. He smiled and gave me one last kiss. "See you tomorrow." He waved and closed the door behind him. I rode the elevator to the floor above Steven's. Smarty was waiting for me for some reason. "Dude, did you take a shower with your clothes on?" I rolled my eyes as I grabbed a towel and started drying my hair. "No, I got caught in the rain." I grabbed my pajamas and walked into my closet. "Why were you outside in the first place? It's almost midnight." "I needed to take a walk. I needed to clear my head." I walked out wearing my dry clothes, my wet ones hanging on the doorknob. "I guess. You must have gone aways to be as wet as you are." I grabbed my computer and pulled up Skype. I messaged Steven while Smarty threw questions at me.

ChilledChaos: I'm getting interogated by Smarty right now. Save me from this hell!

ZeRoyalViking: Lol. GaLm went right back to bed. Just tell him it's late.

ChilledChaos: I don't think that'll help. Good suggestion though.

ZeRoyalViking: If nothing else, you have me to talk to all night.

ChilledChaos: (:

"Who ya talking to?" Smarty asked. "Ze. I was just saying good night. Come dude, it's late and we have school tomorrow." That apparently worked because he laid down and faced the wall. Light snoring came soon after.

ChilledChaos: Holy shit, it worked!

ZeRoyalViking: Works everytime. I should probably go to sleep. It's getting late.

ChilledChaos: Me too. I'll see you tomorrow. Love you <3

I set the computer aside and curled up under the blankets. The warmth was reallg nice after changing out of my cold wet clothes. The pittering of the rain against the windows was comforting enough for me to fall asleep.
