Hello guys :)

School started a couple of weeks ago and you probably noticed that now I most likely update on weekends, well it's because during the week it's a bit hard for me but I promise that I'll update whenever I can :D

Now this chapter is far from my favourites because Harry almost doesn't appear in this chapter but he will in the next one so yeah, bear with me haha

I love you all, a looooooooooooooot <3

Not being really hungry I ate half of my food and just sat there with the girls on our lunch table. Yesterday, the boys decided that watching a football game was more interesting than doing homework, so they had to spend the lunch time doing the homework in the school library.

“Our baby has grown up so much. Look at her, turning 18 tomorrow.” Perrie fake cried on Danielle’s shoulder.

“Oh shut up Perrie. Just because you’re a couple of months older than me doesn’t mean that I’m a baby.” I tried to be serious but failed starting to laugh half-way through the sentence.

She threw a fry at me, laughing.  I was about to throw one back but Danielle spoke.

“No food fights. We don’t want to get in trouble, do we?” She chuckled and I nodded putting the fry back.

“No, but seriously guys, just because my birthday is tomorrow I don’t want you guys to be extra sweet to me or anything.” I said seriously, “It’s just a normal day.” I shrugged.

“Finy missy, we got it.” Emily laughed as I told them the same thing for the hundredth time.

“Hey Melissa.” I turned around to see Joe waving at me as he made his way past our table, out of the cafeteria with his friends.

“Hi” I waved back and turned to the girls.

“I don’t like him.” I heard Emily mumble, and I clearly wasn’t supposed to hear it.

“Me neither. I don’t understand why did you agree on being friends with him.” Eleanor spoke but unlike Emily she was talking loudly, like always.

“I don’t know… I just don’t like being hard on people, I guess.” I shrugged.

“You know that’s not the reason.” Danielle spoke knowingly.

She always knew what to say, what to do, how to react to things; sometimes it felt like she could read our minds.

“It’s just…I was hard on Harry too in the beginning and now I totally regret it. What if Joe is a nice guy too and we will actually be good friends. Shouldn’t I give him a chance?” I said playing with the food that was left in my plate.

“You shouldn’t give Joe a chance just because Harry deserved one.”

Everyone looked at Danielle but she just calmly continued with her wise advices.

“Harry did nothing wrong since the beginning, he actually deserved the chance and he proved it to you. Now Joe is another story, just because he said a couple of nice words don’t mean that he meant them.” She took a deep breath.

Taking her words in, I realized that she was right. But I just felt so guilty for being a bi.tch towards Harry that I didn’t want to do the same mistake, even thought Joe could never be as important to me as Harry is.

“Maybe you’re right.” I nodded, “But it’s not like I’m marrying him, if he shows that he has other intentions our friendship will be over.” I concluded to her, and to myself. Danielle smiled and nodded.
