Neal POV
Out of the corner of my eye I saw my owner set something beside my bowl. I looked over a saw the thickest cactus I have ever seen. So this is the only cactus I have ever seen, but that's besides the point.
The second our eyes met my gills stopped working, it was crazy. Crazier than the time my cousin Nemo got caught by a scuba diver and sent to a fish tank in a dentists office. (That caused some family drama for a while). He escaped though.
I broke my gaze with the mysteriously handsome cactus and though to myself. If this is my new neighbor then I don't know how I'll survive. Should I introduce myself? Or would that make me seem to eager? I'll have to talk to him sooner or later. I'm just a small town fish living in a lonely world. And I need some interaction, I guess I'll say something.
I looked at the cactus again and said the first thing that came into my mind.

ContoI wrote this about my pet fish and plant cactus. I am very sorry. This story is dedicated to Kaitlin. She's the one that made all of this possible.
