"We are the new Americana....High on legal marijuana....Raised on Biggie and Nirvana....We are the new Americana" I started singing along as I got back in the car. I was currently outside the gas station, trying to open the candy I had just bought. But to my luck as I opened the bag the candy flew everywhere and fell randomly in the car. "Fuckin great." I whispered as I threw the trash out the window. "Hey young lady!" an older raspy voice kept screaming over and over. I got out the car and raised my hands up, "What's your problem?!" I screamed at the old man who I realized was heading my way. "My problem?", he asked as he put his hand to his chest. "Did you just seriously ask me what the problem was? Your trash is the problem you threw it out the window instead of disposing of it correctly!" He said as he raised his voice. "WOOOAAHH calm down there sheriff. If you care so damn much about a simple piece of trash you can pick it up and put it up your...." "Watch your tongue young lady." He said as he turned back around and kept whispering "useless just useless". I got back in the car and was about to start driving when my cellphone started ringing. "AAAAHHHH, why can't I have some peace and quiet for a single moment." I said to myself before I answered. "Hello" "Wassuppp Jessie..." I rolled my eyes "It's Jessica, who is this?" I said clearly irritated. "You're fucking with me right?" My silence probably answered his question and he continued. "It's me Colson." "Why you calling me?" I asked confused. See we were and are friends but never cellphone calling friends, so of course I was very concerned and intrigued with his phone call. "What a friend can't even call to say a quick hello?" "Any other friend yes but you I don't think so what do you want?" I asked picking up a candy from the passenger seat and popping it in my mouth. I know what you're thinking why is she so mad and angry with everybody. That's the thing I'm not, I'm just bored. Everyone around me went somewhere cool or is doing something fun and I'm stuck here in my hometown where nothing happens. "Okay so here's the situation. As you might know I started tour about a month ago and well everything seemed to be going fine or so I thought." "Skip the drama and just tell me why you called." I said taking a sip of water. "Rook quit last minute and we need a drummer and he taught you so you have to be as good as him, or maybe even better. So I was thinking if you might wanna come and help a friend out?" I almost choked on the water I was drinking and I decided it was best to spit it out. This was my chance to get out. After a few seconds I finally got myself together and took deep breaths to calm myself down. I had so many emotions and things going on inside me creating their own little chaos that I said "Hell yeah, I'm in" before I had the time and the quiet to actually think it through. "FUCKKK YEAHHH that's what I'm talking about. So meet us if you can no later than tomorrow at noon in Cleveland okay?" He said excitedly. "Yeap." I said hanging up. "What did I get myself into....no it's good it's alright it's gonna be fun." I said to myself driving off the gas station, not before I picked up my trash and threw it away in the trash can. Which the old man saw and smiled.
As soon as I got home I started packing and finished around 8pm. Which was great because I promised Guadalupe I would go to Gerald's concert. I quickly got ready with a black top, black lace shorts and my black converse.
