One day there was a kid named Ben Gay. He was in the sixth grade and was eleven years old. He was a great basketball player. He played for A-H-S-T Vikings. One day he was playing a game against Anita (AKA) CAM. He was one of the greatest point guards on his team, but however the coach put him on the third string. The coach's excuse was that he needed a ball handler so he went on the third string. The point guard that was starting a head of him was just terrible. He didn't protect the ball when dribbling, he made stupid passes, couldn't shoot, well he could but he took stupid shots. There is nothing wrong with that but it came close to costing the team in a game. They were down by two with thirty seconds left we get the ball down the floor and he put up a stupid shot and the other team went down after the rebound and scored. It nearly put the game away but luckily there was still twenty seconds left. The other team was running a fullcourt press. They ended up leaving a guy wide open the inbound chucked the ball, he made the lay-up now they were down by two. They ran a halfcourt press got a steal and then when he was running for a lay-up they fouled him. A-H-S-T was at the free throw line it was their best free throw shooter. He was twenty-seven for twenty-seven on the year. He ended up missing the first one with ten seconds left. He missed the second then his teammate got the rebound put it back up and they scored. They were running a fullcourt press again back to a 2-3 if the opponent broke the press. They were good in a 2-3 they had two averaged sized guys up top and the bottom was stacked with good defenders. They coach always wanted them to play tight and force the opponent to take the outside shot. Since we were in the sixth grade they usually didn't have the strength to make the threes. There was 9.5 seconds left the other team had the ball they took a three thinking we would foul but we didn't. We got a clean block and Ben took the ball back and scored a layup that put them up by two. The other team took a three for the win but they missed with three seconds left. For some dumb reason they didn't foul after the rebound. So when Ben got the rebound he just held onto the ball.
