"John, what are your thoughts on the mission?", asked Jade in a voice filled with excitement.
"I think it would go a lot better without the extra weight."
"Did you just call me fat?", she tries to pull off a cheesy joke.
Jade is starting to feel the hatred in John about the whole deal. " maybe he just needs to get used to me being around" Jade thought to herself.
"No, I'm saying I could go through this mission perfectly without you, I don't need you here."
"Or maybe not " Jade thought surprisingly.
"Look, I don't want to be here with you as much as you don't to be with me, but if we're going to get through this mission we need to work together like we've been doing this for years.", Jade said with a more slight tone in her voice.
John looks at her and starts to think of how to get through the mission, together.
