Adam woke up, yawning. He slowly sat up, stretching his arms outwards. He blinked slightly, then realized that he had that guy staying over. Ignoring his headache, Adam got up. He walked through the hallway, opening the door to his room.
"Hey, want breakfast-?" Adam was cut off when he noticed the bed was empty. Adam furrowed his eyebrows, and looked behind him. He scratched his head, turning his body around. He walked into the kitchen, and noticed a little sticky note. On it, in cursive, was the words 'Thank You'.
Adam chuckled. "I never even caught his name." Adam stated, the smallest of smiles upon his face.

Ty walked down the street, noticing that he had a long way to go before he reached his apartment. Ty shrugged, he was in his daily wear anyways. His hair was fixed, and he even showered. He left quickly, making sure not to wake up Adam. He left a note, he hoped it was enough.
...Wait.
Ty paused, stopping in his tracks. Ty looked up at the shining sun, which slightly blinded him. It was 9:22 am, a cool breeze hitting him.
Why did he care about if it was enough? He already gave up on humanity. They're disgusting, blind, and most of all, selfish. Ty squinted his eyes, watching a dove fly over him. It blocked the sun, but only for a split second; to which Ty watched the bird fly away.
That's right.
Ty looked forward and began walking again.
There's always a little sunshine, there's just something always blocking it. Ty put his hands in his pockets, his right hand taking out a piece of gum. He unwrapped it, and plopped it in his mouth. He put the wrapper back in his pocket.
Reality is just flawed. Ty slightly frowned. Reality? Flawed? It's more like...
Ty stopped again, and looked over. A stray cat was watching two bigger dogs rip up a trashed piece of bone.
...It's more like reality is unforgiving.
Ty walked up to the two dogs, to which they ran away. Ty looked at the cat, and kicked over the bone. The cat watched him carefully, before stalking over to it. Just as the cat was about to take a bite of it, Ty picked up the cat. The cat stared at Ty with big green eyes, to which Ty stared blankly back. He placed the cat on his shoulders, to which the small cat complied. Ty began walking again, the cat perched up acting all high and mighty. Ty glanced over at the cat who made a face at the two dogs.
Maybe he can just do one good thing. Ty reached his apartment, and unlocked the door. Walking in, he grabbed the cat from his shoulders and set her down. Ty went into his kitchen, and grabbed a can of tuna. Opening it, he walked out. He set it down, and watched as the cat happily eat it.
Now looking at it, the cat was a calico. Brown, copper, and white. It was skinny and small. Ty knelt down, watching the cat. His hand reached out, but the cat quickly swiped her paw at him. Ty brought his hand up to his face, blood trickling down it. Ty looked back at the cat, who ignored him.
He just had a long way to go, before he could make things right.
