Scarred,

I just never cared,
I knew I would get burned without any guard up,
or a protective screen to help me withstand your rays,
You are beyond beautiful,
I loved that you let me bask in your light,
For a little while I felt like I belonged,
In your fire,
Amongst the heat,
It was a risk,

My foolishness made the burns feel light
I knew we were bound to end,
